Overview
Canon PIXMA iP100 Inkjet Mobile Photo Printer. The Canon PIXMA iP100 is a portable, color inkjet printer known for its compact size and high-quality photo printing capabilities. It’s designed for users who need to print documents and photos on the go, whether for business or personal use.
Features
- The iP100 is designed to be compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry and use in various locations.
- High Resolution:It boasts a maximum print resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi, enabling sharp and detailed prints, including photos.
- Speed:It can print a borderless 4×6 inch photo in approximately 50 seconds.
- Connectivity:It offers USB, PictBridge, and infrared connectivity. It also has an optional Bluetooth adapter for wireless printing.
- Ink System: It uses a 5-color ink system with a separate pigment black ink tank for durable prints and a dye-based color ink set.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Canon iP100 setup on Windows
Setting up Guide for Windows:
1. Connect the Printer:
- Connect the USB cable to the printer and your computer.
3. Install the Driver:
- Find the driver for your operating system.
- Download the driver and follow the on-screen instructions to install it. Some guides suggest running (or opening) the file directly after downloading.
- The driver installation may start automatically after downloading.
4. Access Printer Settings:
- Click the Windows button and go to “Settings”.
- Select “Devices” and then “Printers & scanners”.
- Find your Canon PIXMA iP100 and click on it to access printing preferences.
- You can also access printer settings by right-clicking the printer icon and selecting “Printing preferences”.

Setting up Guide for Mac:
- Download the necessary software:
- Download the appropriate driver and software package for your macOS version.
2. Install the software:
- Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to mount the disk image.
- Open the mounted disk image and locate the installer package (usually a .pkg or .mpkg file).
- Right-click the installer package and select “Open”. If you encounter a security warning about an unidentified developer, select “Open” again to proceed.
3. Connect the printer:Connect the Canon iP100 to your Mac using a USB cable.
- If you want to use a wireless connection, you’ll need to configure it during the setup process.

Setting up Guide for IOS:
- Download and Install the Canon PRINT App:
- Go to the App Store on your iOS device.
- Search for and download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Install the app on your device.
2. Connect to the Same Wi-Fi Network:
- Verify that your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Canon PIXMA iP100 printer.
`3. Register and Select the Printer in the App:
- Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- The app should automatically search for and display available printers on your network.
- Select your Canon PIXMA iP100 from the list.
5. Print from Your iOS Device:
- Once the printer is registered, you can select it as your printer within the app.
- Choose the image or document you want to print.

Setting up Guide for Android:
- Install the Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Download and install the app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and accept the terms and conditions.
2. Register the Printer:
- Tap the “Add Printer” button in the app.
- The app will search for compatible Canon printers on your network.
- Select your Canon iP100 printer from the list.
- You can change the printer name if you want and then tap “OK”.
4. Print Documents or Photos:
- Navigate to the document or photo you want to print within the app.
- Select the print settings (paper size, quality, etc.).
- Tap the “Print” button to start printing.
Troubleshooting Steps
- 1. Basic Checks:
- Power: Ensure the printer is securely plugged in and turned on. The POWER lamp should be lit.
- Paper Jams: Check for any paper jams or misfeeds, and clear them according to the manual.
- Ink Levels: Verify that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty.
