Overview

Canon MAXIFY iB4070 is a color inkjet printer designed for huge printing needs. It supports wi-fi connectivity. It has dual resistant high density Ink and support high capacity ink tank to reduce running cost. Canon MAXIFY iB4070 comes in a very compact design and can fit easily in nay smaller space.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Carefully unpack your Canon iB4070 printer and remove all the protective materials.
  2. Locate the power cord provided with the printer. Connect one end of the power cord to the printer’s power input port, and the other end to a nearby power outlet.
  3. Open the paper tray located at the front of the printer. Adjust the paper guides to match the size of the paper you will be using. Load a stack of paper into the tray, making sure it is aligned properly and the guides are snug against the paper.
  4. The Canon iB4070 printer uses individual ink cartridges. Open the ink cartridge compartment cover located on the top of the printer. Insert the ink cartridges into their respective slots, following the color-coded labels and making sure they snap into place securely.
  5. Press the power button on the printer to turn it on. The printer will go through an initial setup process. Follow any instructions displayed on the printer’s control panel, if applicable.

  • Download and Install Drivers:

    • Navigate to the “Drivers, Software & Firmware” section.
    • Select the appropriate driver for your Windows version and download it.
    • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  • Connect the Printer:
    • Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable or ensure both devices are on the same network for network printing.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
    • Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
    • Solutions:
      • Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
      • Place the printer close to the router
      • Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
      • Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
      • Restart the router and printer
      • Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
  2. Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
    • Solutions:
      • Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
      • Restart your printer and device
      • Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
      • For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
      • On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
  3. Paper Jam:
    • Solutions:
      • Turn off the printer
      • Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
      • Check for torn paper pieces
      • Restart the printer
  4. Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):
    • Solution:
      • Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
      • Run Print Head Cleaning:
      • Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
      • Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
      • Ensure you’re using compatible paper
