Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Ensure the Canon GX7040 printer is powered on and has paper and ink installed.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

1. Setup on Windows
Driver Installation

- Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Connection Setup
- Wireless Connection:
- On the printer, access Menu > Settings > Wireless LAN Setup.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- During the driver installation on your PC, select Wireless Connection and complete the setup.
- USB Connection:
- Connect the printer to your Windows PC using a USB cable.
- The system will automatically detect and install the printer.

Driver Installation
