Canon MAXIFY GX7000 is an all-in-one high-volume business printer. It delivers high quality printing at a very affordable cost. It is a high page yield printer up to 6,000 black and white pages and 14,000 color pages.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

- Preparation:
- Ensure your printer is powered on and properly connected to your computer via USB or network.

- Locate the downloaded
.exefile and double-click to run it. - Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Canon GX7000 setup on macOS
- Preparation:
- Ensure your printer is powered on and properly connected to your Mac via USB or network.
- Driver Installation:

- Download the appropriate driver package for macOS.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Canon GX7000 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Preparation:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- Printing:
- Use the built-in AirPrint feature on your iOS device to print directly without additional drivers.
- Alternatively, download the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY” app from the App Store for enhanced functionality.
Canon GX7000 setup on Android
- Preparation:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Printing:
- Download the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY” app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your printer and start printing.
Canon GX7000 setup on Chromebook
- Preparation:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook.
- Printing:
- Chromebooks support printing via the network without additional drivers.
- Go to your Chromebook’s settings, navigate to “Advanced” > “Printing” > “Printers,” and add your Canon GX7000 series printer if it’s detected.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver

- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer

- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):

- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
