Overview
The Canon MAXIFY GX5570 is a Mega Tank wireless all-in-one printer designed for small offices, offering low-cost, high-volume printing. It features refillable ink tanks, dual cassette paper trays, and a 50-sheet ADF for efficient document handling. The printer supports various connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB, and is compatible with mobile printing through app like AirPrint.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Setting up Guide for Windows:
1. Download the software:
- Locate the software download section and choose the appropriate driver and software for your Windows operating system.
2. Install the software:
- Run the downloaded installer and carefully follow the prompts to install the printer driver and other necessary software.
3. Connect to your network:
- During the software installation, you’ll be guided through the process of connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network or connecting it via a USB cable.
6. Test print:
- Once the setup is complete, you can perform a test print to ensure everything is working correctly.

Setting up Guide for MAC:
1. Install Printer Software and Drivers:
- Download the necessary software and drivers
- Look for the “MAXIFY GX5590 MegaTank” page and download the appropriate software for your macOS version.
- Install the software.
2. Connect the Printer:
- USB Connection: Connect the printer to your Mac using a USB cable.
- Wireless Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
- If using a USB connection, you may need to update your software and drivers if prompted.
3. Add Printer to macOS:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (or Print & Fax).
- Add a new printer.
- Your Mac should automatically detect the Canon GX5590 printer.
- Select the printer and click “Add”.
4. Test the Connection:
- Once added, you can test the connection by printing a document or photo.

Setting up Guide for IOS:
- Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network:
- Using the Canon PRINT app:
- Download and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the App Store.
- Using AirPrint:Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- If your printer supports it, you may be able to use the wireless direct feature to connect directly to the printer without a router.
3. Print from your iOS device:Using the Canon PRINT app
- Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Select the printer from the list of available devices.
- Choose the document or photo you want to print.
- Tap “Print”.
4. Using AirPrint:
- Open the document or photo you want to print on your iOS device.
- Tap the share icon (usually a square with an arrow pointing upwards).
- Select “Print” from the list of options.
- Choose your Canon GX5580 printer from the list of available printers.
- Adjust print settings (if available) and tap “Print”.

Setting up Guide for Android:
- Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- Install and Set Up Canon PRINT App:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- Print from your Android Device:
- Open the document or photo you want to print on your Android device.
- Tap the “Share” or “Print” option (this may vary slightly depending on the app you are using).
- Select your Canon GX5590 printer from the list of available printers.
- Adjust print settings like paper size, quality, and number of copies as needed.
- Tap “Print” to send the document to your printer.

Setting up Guide for Chromebook:
- Connect to the Same Network: Both your printer and Chromebook must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Turn on the Printer: Make sure your Canon GX5590 is powered on and connected to the Wi-Fi.
- Choose Your Printer: If your Canon GX5590 is listed, select it. Your Chromebook will perform a compatibility check.
- Add the Printer: If your printer is not listed, you may need to add it manually. Click “Add printer” .
- Save the Printer: Once selected, the printer will be saved to your Chromebook profile, making it the default printer.
- Access Printer Settings: Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers and Scanners to manage your printers.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Paper Jams:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Carefully remove any jammed paper from the paper output slot or the rear tray.
- If the paper tears, check for any remaining pieces inside the printer and remove them.
- Close the printer cover and turn the printer back on.
- Printing Problems (Blank Pages, Poor Quality):
- Check the ink levels and ensure the cartridges are properly installed.
- Clean the print head using the printer’s maintenance menu.
- Run a nozzle check to identify any clogged nozzles.
- If the issue persists, consider replacing the ink cartridges.
- Connectivity Issues:
- Consult the printer’s manual for specific troubleshooting steps related to connectivity.
- Verify the printer is properly connected to your computer or network.
- Ensure the printer drivers are installed correctly.
- Try restarting your computer and the printer.
