To set up your Canon MAXIFY GX1010 printer across various devices, follow the instructions below for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Chromebook platforms.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Setting Up Canon MAXIFY GX1010 on Windows:

Note: Ensure your Windows PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you intend to connect the printer to.

    • Download the Setup Software:Driver Downloads are available in the Bottom of the page.
    • Click on “Download” to obtain the setup file.
    • Run the Setup File:Locate the downloaded file and double-click to run it.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the installation.
    • Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:When prompted, select “Wireless LAN Connection” as the connection method.
    • Choose “Easy Wireless Connect” and follow the instructions to put the printer in setup mode.
    • The software will detect the printer and prompt you to select your Wi-Fi network.
    • Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
    • Complete the Installation:Once connected, the software will install the necessary drivers.
    • After installation, print a test page to confirm successful setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the power:
  2. Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected.
  3. Check the cartridges:
  4. Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also, ensure that there is enough ink.
  5. Check paper:
  6. If the papers are not arranged correctly, take them out of the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure that the paper tray is not jammed. You can now shut off the paper tray.
  7. Check Wi-Fi Connection:
  8. Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
  9. Make sure that the WIFI connection is stable.
  10. Update the Driver:
  11. Outdated drivers may cause problems.
  12. Check for the latest driver updates for your printer model.
  13. Download and install the updated driver.
