Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer, remove all protective packaging, and install the ink bottles following the user manual.
- Plug in the power cord, turn on the printer, and load paper into the tray.

Canon G7020 setup on Windows
- On the printer’s screen, start Easy Wireless Connect to prepare it for network setup.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Follow the on-screen instructions, and choose “Connect via Wireless LAN” when prompted.
- Ensure your PC is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- The setup tool will detect the printer and finalize installation.
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers to confirm the G7020 is listed.
- Print a test page to make sure the setup is complete and successful.
Canon G7020 setup on macOS
- On the printer’s screen, activate Easy Wireless Connect to enable wireless setup mode.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and run the installer.
- Follow the on-screen steps, choosing “Connect via Wireless LAN” when prompted.
- Make sure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- The installer will detect the printer and complete the setup.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners and ensure the G7020 is listed.
- Print a test page to confirm the setup is successful.
Canon G7020 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Install Canon Print App
- Open the App Store.
- Search for Canon Print.
- Tap Install and open the app once downloaded.
- On the printer’s control panel, activate Easy Wireless Connect.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add the printer.
- Open the document or photo you wish to print.
- Tap the Share icon and select Canon Print.
- Choose your G7020 and tap Print.
Canon G7020 setup on Android
- Open Google Play Store.
- Search for Canon Print app.
- Tap install and wait for the app to download.
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Wi-Fi settings.
- Follow on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Canon Print app on your Android device.
- The app will search for available printers.
- Select your G7020 from the list.
- Follow any additional prompts to complete the setup.

- Open the document or photo you wish to print.
- Tap the Share icon and select Canon Print.
- Choose your G7020 and tap Print
Canon G7020 setup on Chromebook
- Unbox the printer, install the ink bottles, and power it on.
- On the printer’s screen, enable Easy Wireless Connect to prepare for network setup.
- Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network by following the on-screen instructions.
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the lower-right corner and select Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced, then go to the Printing section.
- Click Printers, then select Add Printer.
- Wait for your Canon G7020 to appear under available printers.
- Click on it, confirm the details (like IP address and protocol – usually IPP), and select Add.
- The printer will now be installed and ready to use.
- Open a document or image and press Ctrl + P to print.
- Select the Canon G7020 from the printer list and print a test page to confirm setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check Wi-Fi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
