Overview
The Canon G7000 is a high-performance wireless MegaTank All-In-One printer designed for high-volume printing at low running costs. Ideal for home offices and small businesses, it offers printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities.
Features
- High Page Yield: Prints up to 8,300 pages (B/W) and 7,700 pages (colour) per full set of ink bottles, making it highly cost-effective for high-volume printing.
- All-in-One Functionality with ADF: Supports print, scan, copy, and fax, plus includes a 35-sheet Auto Document Feeder (ADF) for efficient batch scanning and copying.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer, remove protective materials, and install the ink bottles as per the instructions.
- Connect the printer to power and turn it on using the power button.

Canon G7000 setup on Windows
On the printer’s display, navigate to Wi-Fi setup and select Easy Wireless Connect.
Download drivers from the bottom of the page
Once downloaded, open the file and run the installer.
Follow on-screen instructions, and when prompted, choose Connect via Wireless LAN.
Ensure your PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
The installer will detect the printer and complete the setup.
Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers to confirm the printer is added.
Print a test page to confirm everything is set up.
Canon G7000 setup on macOS
On the printer’s display, select Easy Wireless Connect for Wi-Fi setup.
Download drivers from the bottom of the page
Open the downloaded file and run the installer.
Follow the on-screen instructions, selecting Connect via Wireless LAN when prompted.
Ensure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
The printer should appear on your Mac. Confirm the connection and complete the setup.
Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners to confirm the printer is listed.
Print a test page to verify the setup.
Canon G7000 setup on iPhone & iPad
Activate Easy Wireless Connect via the printer’s control panel.
On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and install the Canon Print app.
Launch the app and accept the necessary permissions.
Tap Add Printer → Register Printer → Connect via Wireless Router.
The app will search for nearby printers. Allow location and Wi-Fi permissions if prompted.
Once G7000 appears, select it and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
If required, enter your Wi-Fi password.
Once the printer is registered, you can start printing directly from the app.
You can also print from other apps like Photos, Safari, or Mail using AirPrint.
Canon G7000 setup on Android
Ensure it is in Easy Wireless Connect mode (selectable from the printer’s control panel).
On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and install the Canon Print app
Launch the app and accept the necessary permissions.
Tap Add Printer → Register Printer → Connect via Wireless Router.
The app will search for printers on the same Wi-Fi network.
When the G7000 appears, select it and follow on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
If required, enter your Wi-Fi network password.
Once the printer is registered, you can start printing directly from the app.
Canon G7000 setup on Chromebook
On your Chromebook, click on the time in the bottom-right corner, then go to Settings.
Scroll down and select Advanced → Printers under the “Printing” section.
Your Chromebook will search for available printers on the same Wi-Fi network.
When Canon G7000 appears in the list, select it and click Add.
If prompted, confirm or enter the printer’s details (such as IP address and protocol: IPP).
After adding the printer, open a document or photo and click Print.
Ensure the G7000 is selected from the printer list, then print a test page.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check WiFi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
