Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging and protective materials.
- Install the print heads and fill the 6 ink tanks using the supplied ink bottles.
- Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink charging, and alignment).

Canon G620 setup on Windows
- Choose your preferred connection: USB or Wi-Fi.
- For Wi-Fi: Use the software to connect the printer to your network during setup.
- Add the Printer in Windows
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add a printer or scanner, select Canon G620, and click Add Device.
- Print a test page to confirm successful installation and connectivity.
Canon G620 setup on macOS
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your wireless network and enter the password to connect.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button and select Canon G620 from the list.
- Click Add to complete the setup.
- Print a test document to confirm successful installation and connectivity.
Canon G620 setup on iPhone & iPad
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Download and install the Canon Print app.
- Open the app and tap Add Printer.
- The app will detect the Canon G620 on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select the printer to complete the setup.
- Start Printing or Scanning
- Use the app to print documents, photos, or directly scan from your iOS device.
Canon G620 setup on Android
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Open the Google Play Store and search for Canon Print app.
- Download and install the app.
- Add the Printer in the App
- Open the Canon Print app and tap Add Printer.
- The app will detect the Canon G620 on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select the printer to complete the setup.
- Start Printing or Scanning
- Use the app to print documents, photos, or directly scan from your Android device.
Canon G620 setup on Chromebook
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Ensure Chromebook is on the Same Network
- Connect your Chromebook to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Click on the time in the bottom-right corner of your Chromebook and go to Settings.
- Scroll down to Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer and select Canon G620 from the list of available printers.
- Open a document, press Ctrl + P, select the Canon G620, and print to confirm successful setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check W-iFi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
