The Canon PIXMA G6055, an inkjet photo printer, a high-volume monochrome laser multifunction printer. This model is a compact, high-yield ink tank printer designed for home or small office use, offering color printing capabilities.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Canon G6055 setup on Windows
- Select “G6055” as your printer model.
- Download the Setup File:
- In the Product Setup section, click “Download” to get the setup file for your Windows operating system.
- Run the Setup:
- Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start the installation process.
- The setup guide will launch. Connect your Canon G6055 printer to your Windows PC using, USB cable when prompted by the setup guide.
- Install Drivers and Software:
- The setup process will guide you through installing the necessary printer drivers and any additional software for your G6055.
- Complete Setup:
- Finalize the printer setup and software installation on your Windows computer.
Canon G6055 setup on macOS
- Download Software:
- In the “Product Setup” section, click “Download” to get the setup file.
- Install the Software:
- Double-click the downloaded file and then double-click the “Setup” icon.
- Enter your administrator name and password when prompted, then click “Next”.
- Add Printer:
- When asked to select your printer, if it’s not detected, ensure it’s turned on and properly connected (either via USB or Wi-Fi). Click “Add Printer” and select your Canon G6055 from the list, then click “Add”.
- Complete Installation:
- Finish the software installation.
- Verify Installation:
- Once installed, you can find your printer listed in your Mac’s “Printers & Scanners” settings. You should also see options for both printing and scanning.
Canon G6055 setup on Android
- Download and Install the App:
- On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY”.
- Install the app.
- Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Canon G6055 printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Open the App and Add Printer:
- Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Tap on “Add Printer” or “Register Printer”.
- The app will search for available printers on the network.
- Select your Canon G6055 printer from the list.
- Complete Setup:
- The app will guide you through the remaining setup steps, which may include:
- Changing the printer’s name (optional).
- Printing a test page to confirm the connection.
- Accepting terms and conditions.
- Setting up print plans (if applicable).
- Start Printing:
- Once the setup is complete, you should be able to print documents and photos from your Android device using the Canon PRINT app.
Canon G6055 setup on Chromebook
- Connect to the same network:
- Ensure your Canon G6055 and your Chromebook are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Chromebook settings:
- Click on the time in the bottom right corner, then select “Settings”.
- Navigate to printers: Under “Device,” scroll down and select “Printers and scanners”.
- Add printer manually: Click the button next to “Add printer”.
- Enter printer information:
- Name: Give your printer a recognizable name.
- Add the printer: Click “Add”.
- After adding the printer, you should be able to print from your Chromebook. You may also need to select your printer from the list when printing a document or scan something to your Chromebook.

- Print Quality Issues:
- Low Ink: If prints are faded, streaky, or blurred, ensure the ink cartridges are not low or empty.
- Clogged Print Head:
- Clogged print heads can also cause poor print quality. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to clean the print head.
- Incorrect Print Settings:
- Check your print settings in the application you’re using and ensure they are appropriate for the type of document you’re printing.
- Printer Offline or Not Responding:
- Restart:Try restarting your printer and computer, as this can resolve many common issues.
- Printer Driver:If the printer is still offline, try reinstalling the printer drivers. You can find the latest drivers.
- Check for Updates:
- Ensure your printer’s firmware and drivers are up to date.
- Network Connection:
- If you’re using a wireless connection, verify that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
