Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6050 setup on Windows

  1. Remove all packaging materials and protective tape from the printer and its components.
  2. Use the provided ink bottles to fill the tanks carefully, following the guide in the manual. 3. Connect the power cable and turn on the printer using the power button.
  3. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
  4. Launch the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Choose between Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB during installation.
  6. For wireless, use the printer’s control panel to connect to your network (SSID and password required).
  7. Let the software detect the printer and finish the setup.
  8. Print a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Check the power:
    • Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  • Check the cartridges:
    • Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
  • Check paper:
    • If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
  • Check WiFi connection:
    • Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
    • Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
  • Reset the printer:
    • Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  • Update printer drivers:
    • If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
