The Canon G6010 is a versatile all-in-one inkjet printer designed for high-volume printing needs, making it ideal for small businesses and home offices.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6010 setup on Windows

  1. Unbox, install cartridges, and put the printer on.
  2. Turn on your Canon G6010 printer and ensure it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Windows PC.
  3. Download the drivers from the bottom of the page
  4. Open the downloaded file and run the installer.
  5. Select “Wireless LAN Connection” during installation.
  6. If your printer isn’t connected to Wi-Fi, follow the Easy Wireless Connect method:
  7. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the indicator flashes.
  8. Follow on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  9. Once connected, the installer will detect the printer. Select your Canon G6010 and complete the installation.
  10. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers to verify that the printer is listed.
  11. Print a test page to confirm the setup is complete.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Check the power:
    • Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  • Check the cartridges:
    • Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
  • Check paper:
    • If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
  • Check WiFi connection:
    • Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
    • Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
  • Reset the printer:
    • Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  • Update printer drivers:
    • If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
