The Canon G6000 Series is a versatile MegaTank printer designed for high-volume printing needs, ideal for small businesses, home offices, and photo enthusiasts.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6000 setup on Windows
- Turn on your Canon G6000 printer and ensure it’s connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Download the drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the installer and choose “Wireless LAN Connection” during setup.
- Select “Connect via wireless router” and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the printer is not yet on Wi-Fi, use the Easy Wireless Connect method:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the power light flashes, then follow setup prompts on PC.
- The installer will detect the printer—select it and complete installation.
- Once installed, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers to confirm it’s listed.
- Print a test page to verify successful setup.
Canon G6000 setup on macOS
- Power on your Canon G6000 printer and ensure it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and run the installer on your Mac.
- During installation, select “Wireless LAN Connection” and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the printer is not already on Wi-Fi, use the Easy Wireless Connect method:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the indicator flashes.
- Follow the setup prompts on your Mac to complete the wireless connection.
- Once connected, the installer will add the printer to your Mac.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners to verify your printer is listed.
- Print a test page to ensure proper installation.
Canon G6000 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Ensure your Canon G6000 printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone/iPad.
- Download the Canon app from the App Store.
- Open the app and grant necessary permissions (e.g., location, Wi-Fi).
- Tap the “+” icon or “Add Printer” to start the setup process.
- Choose “Connect via wireless router” and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the printer is not yet on Wi-Fi, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the light flashes, then follow app instructions to complete the connection.
- Once the printer is added, you can print directly from the app by selecting your printer.
- You can also use AirPrint for seamless printing from compatible apps like Safari, Photos, Mail, etc.
- For scanning, use the app’s scan function to capture documents directly.
Canon G6000 setup on Android
- Ensure your printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Download and install the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and grant necessary permissions (e.g., access to Wi-Fi, location).
- Tap the “+” icon or “Add Printer” to search for available printers.
- Choose “Connect via wireless router” for network connection or follow the Easy Wireless
- On your printer, press the Wi-Fi button and follow the instructions in the app to connect it to your network.
- Once connected, select your Canon G6000 printer from the list and tap Add.
- You can now print directly from the app by selecting your printer.
Canon G6000 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on both your Chromebook and Canon G6000 printer, and that they are connected to the same network.
- On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the indicator starts blinking, then follow Easy Wireless Connect to join the Wi-Fi network (refer to your printer manual for steps).
- On your Chromebook, click on the time in the lower-right corner, then select Settings.
- In the settings menu, scroll down and click Advanced, then Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer; your Canon G6000 should automatically appear if connected correctly.
- Select your printer from the list and click Add.
- Print a test page to confirm everything is working.
