The Canon G600 series is a line of high-performance MegaTank inkjet printers designed for professional photographers, creative professionals, and small businesses seeking cost-effective, high-quality photo printing solutions. These printers utilise refillable ink tanks that deliver exceptional page yields, reducing the frequency and cost of ink replacements.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G600 setup on Windows
- Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Install the print head and fill the ink tanks with the provided ink bottles.
- Load plain paper into the rear tray.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- On the printer’s LCD screen, navigate to Setup > Wireless LAN Setup.
- Select Easy Wireless Connect and follow the prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Select Canon G600 from the list and click Add device.
- Open a document or image and select File > Print.
- Choose Canon G600 and click Print to verify the setup.
Canon G600 setup on macOS
- Unbox and Prepare the Printer

- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button to add a printer.
- Select Canon G600 from the list and click Add.
- Open a document or image and select File > Print.
- Choose Canon G600 and click Print to verify the setup.
Canon G600 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Ensure your Canon G600 printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone/iPad.
- Download the Canon Print app from the App Store.
- Open the Canon PRINT app and allow all permissions (e.g., local network access).
- Tap the “+” icon or “Register Printer” in the app.
- Choose “Connect via wireless router” if already on Wi-Fi, or follow the Easy Wireless Connect steps if not.
- To use Easy Wireless Connect, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the light flashes.
- Follow in-app prompts to complete setup and connect to your Wi-Fi.
- Once the printer is found, select your Canon G600 and tap Add.
- User can now print and scan directly from the Canon Print app.
Canon G600 setup on Android
- Ensure your Canon G600 printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Download and install the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the Canon Print app and grant necessary permissions (e.g., location, Wi-Fi).
- Tap “Add Printer” or the “+” icon, then select Register Printer.
- Choose “Connect via wireless router” if already connected to Wi-Fi.
- The app will search for available printers—select your G600 series once it appears.
- If the printer isn’t listed, press the Wi-Fi button on the printer and follow in-app instructions to connect.
- Once added, you can print documents, photos, and scan directly from the app.
Canon G600 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your Canon G600 and it’s connected to the same network as your Chromebook.
- On the printer, press the Wi-Fi button until the indicator flashes, then connect using
- Easy Wireless Connect (refer to printer manual).
- On your Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom-right, then select Settings.
- Scroll to Advanced, then click Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer; your Canon G600 should appear if it’s on the same network.
- Select the printer, confirm its details, and click Add.
- If prompted, choose the Generic or Canon print driver (use “Canon Inkjet G600 series” if available).
- Print a test page to confirm the setup is complete.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check WiFi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
