Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G540 setup on Windows

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the printer.
  2. Plug the power cord into the printer and connect it to a power outlet.
  3. Open the ink tank cover and insert the included ink bottles into the corresponding slots.
  4. Place paper in the rear paper tray.
  5. Press the power button to power on the printer.
  6. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
  7. Connect via USB or Wi-Fi:
  8. For USB, connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
  9. For Wi-Fi, follow the prompts to connect to your wireless network.
  10. Go to ‘Devices and Printers’ in Windows settings and select the Canon G540 as the default printer.
  11. Print a test page to ensure proper setup.
