Canon G5000 setup on Windows
- Step 1: Unbox and Connect
- Unbox your Canon G5000, plug it into a power source, and ensure it is powered on.
- Step 2: Install Printer Drivers
- Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
- Search for “Canon G5000” and download the latest drivers for your version of Windows.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.
- Step 3: Connect via USB or Wi-Fi
- USB connection: Plug the USB cable into both your computer and the printer.
- Wi-Fi connection: Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer, select your Wi-Fi network, and enter the password when prompted.
- Step 4: Add Printer to Windows
- Open the Start menu and go to Settings.
- Select Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add a Printer or Scanner.
- Select your Canon G5000 from the list and click Add Device.
- Your printer is now set up and ready to print from your Windows device!
Canon G5000 setup on macOS
- Step 1: Install Printer Drivers
- Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
- Download and install the appropriate drivers for macOS.
- Step 2: Connect via USB or Wi-Fi
- USB connection: Connect your Canon G5000 to your Mac using the USB cable.
- Wi-Fi connection: Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer and follow the prompts to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Step 3: Add Printer to Mac
- Open System Preferences and select Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add your printer.
- Select your Canon G5000 from the list and click Add.
- Your Mac is now set up to print with the Canon G5000!
Canon G5000 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Step 1: Connect Printer to Wi-Fi
- Ensure that your Canon G5000 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad.
- Step 2: Set Up AirPrint
- Open Settings on your iOS device.
- Tap Wi-Fi, and confirm that your printer is connected to the same network.
- Step 3: Print from iOS
- Open the document or photo you want to print.
- Tap the Share button and select Print.
- Choose your Canon G5000 from the list of printers, then tap Print.
- Your iOS device is now ready to print!
Canon G5000 setup on Android
- Step 1: Install Canon Print App
- Go to the Google Play Store and search for Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY.
- Install the app and open it.
- Step 2: Connect Printer to Wi-Fi
- Ensure that your Canon G5000 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Step 3: Print from Android
- Open the Canon PRINT app.
- Select the Canon G5000 from the list of available printers.
- Choose the document or photo you want to print, then tap Print.
- Your Android device is now ready to print!
Canon G5000 setup on Chromebook
- Step 1: Add Printer to ChromeOS
- Open Settings on your Chromebook.
- Scroll down to Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer.
- Step 2: Connect Printer to Wi-Fi
- Make sure your Canon G5000 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook.
- Step 3: Print from ChromeOS
- Open the document or webpage you want to print.
- Press Ctrl + P to open the print dialog.
- Select your Canon G5000 from the list of printers.
- Click Print.
- Your Chromebook is now ready to print!
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer Not Detected? Ensure both your printer and device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You can also try connecting via USB if needed.
- Slow Printing? If printing wirelessly, check the Wi-Fi signal strength. For faster printing, consider using a USB connection.
