Overview
The Canon PIXMA G4470 is a high-performance 4-in-1 Wireless MegaTank printer, primarily marketed in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). It is the regional equivalent of the G4270/G4170 and serves as a significant upgrade to the older G4411. It is built for home offices that require heavy-duty document handling (faxing and multi-page scanning) while maintaining the ultra-low running costs of the MegaTank system.

Canon G4470 setup on Windows
- Download the Setup Software:
- Driver Downloads are available in the Bottom of the page.
- Click on “Download” to obtain the setup file.
- Run the Setup File:
- Locate the downloaded file and double-click to run it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the installation.
- Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- When prompted, select “Wireless LAN Connection” as the connection method.
- Choose “Easy Wireless Connect” and follow the instructions to put the printer in setup mode.
- The software will detect the printer and prompt you to select your Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
- Complete the Installation:
- Once connected, the software will install the necessary drivers.
- After installation, print a test page to confirm successful setup.
Canon G4470 setup on macOS
Note: Ensure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you intend to connect the printer to.
- Download the Setup Software:
- Driver Downloads are available in the Bottom of the page.
- Click on “Download” to obtain the setup file for Mac.
- Run the Setup File:
- Locate the downloaded .dmg file and double-click to open it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the installation.
- Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- During installation, select “Wireless LAN Connection” as the connection method.
- Choose “Easy Wireless Connect” and follow the instructions to put the printer in setup mode.
- The software will detect the printer and prompt you to select your Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
- Complete the Installation:
- Once connected, the software will install the necessary drivers.

Canon G4470 setup on iPhone & iPad
Note: Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Download the Canon PRINT App:
- Open the App Store on your iOS device.
- Search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY” and install the app.
- Prepare the Printer:
- Ensure the printer is powered on and in a ready state.
- Connect to the Printer:
- Open the Canon PRINT app.
- Tap “Add Printer” and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- The app will search for available printers; select your G4470 from the list.
- Complete the Setup:
- Once connected, you can print photos and documents directly from your iOS device.
Canon G4470 setup on Android
Note: Ensure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Download the Canon PRINT App:
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY” and install the app.

- Open the Canon PRINT app.

Canon G4470 setup on Chromebook
Note: Ensure your Chromebook is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- Follow the instructions in the printer’s manual to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Add the Printer to Chromebook:
- Click the status area (where your account picture appears) in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Click the settings icon (gear symbol).
- Scroll down and click on “Advanced.”
- Under “Printing,” click “Printers.”
- Click “Add Printer.”
- Your Chromebook will search for available printers; select your G4470 from the list.
- Click “Add” to complete the setup.
