WIFI Setup

  1. Power on the Printer:
    • To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button.
  2. Connect the Printer to wifi:
    • Select wifi Connection.
    • Enter the password.
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi lamp blinks.
    • Connect Canon G3821 to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Download Drivers:
    • Download and install the full driver package from the bottom of the page.
    • When the installation is completed, run the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Print the Test page:
    • To make sure it’s functioning, try printing a test page from Word or Notepad.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Power on the Printer:
    • To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button.
  2. Download Drivers:
    • Download and install the full driver package from the bottom of the page.
    • When the installation is completed, run the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Connect the Printer to Your PC:
    • Connect USB cable when prompted.
    • Plug the USB cable into the printer and connect the other end to your PC.
  4. Print the Test page:
    • To make sure it’s functioning, try printing a test page from Word or Notepad.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the power:
    • Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected.
  2. Check the cartridges:
    • Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also, ensure that there is enough ink.
  3. Check paper:
    • If the papers are not arranged correctly, take them out of the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure that the paper tray is not jammed. You can now shut off the paper tray.
  4. Check Wi-Fi Connection:
    • Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
    • Make sure that the WIFI connection is stable.
  5. Update the Driver:
    • Outdated drivers may cause problems.
    • Check for the latest driver updates for your printer model.
    • Download and install the updated driver.
