Overview

The G3625 MegaTank bundle is an excellent value for anyone needing high-volume, low-cost colour printing at home. It offers strong yields and integrated scanning/copying, but it’s less suitable for users who need fast speed, auto-duplex, or office-grade automation.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove packaging materials.
  2. Remove any protective packaging tape (usually in Red or Orange Color).
  3. Open the panel and install the cartridges.
  4. Wait for the carriage to move to the centre
  5. Load supported preferred paper into the tray.

Canon G3625 setup on Windows

  1. Plug in the power cord and turn the printer on.
  2. Download & Install Printer Driver
    • Search for PIXMA G3625.
    • Download the full driver & software package for Windows.
    • Use Installation CD (if provided)
    • Insert CD and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Connect the Printer to Your Computer
  4. For Wireless Setup
    • Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi lamp flashes.
    • On your computer, run the Canon setup file you downloaded.
    • Choose “Wireless Connection”.
    • The setup will auto-detect your printer. Follow on-screen instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
  5. For USB Setup
    • Connect the USB cable from the printer to your computer.
    • Run the Canon setup file and select “USB Connection” when prompted.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
  6. Complete the Installation
    • Wait for Windows to finish installing the driver.
    • Print a test page to confirm everything works.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Printer Not Powering On
    • No lights or sounds
      • Ensure the power cable is firmly plugged into the wall and printer.
      • Try a different power outlet.
      • Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds.
      • If still dead, unplug for 10 minutes, then retry.
  2. Wi-Fi Connection Issues
    • Printer not connecting to Wi-Fi or computer not detecting printer.
      • Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on printer:
      • Hold the Wi-Fi button until power light flashes → press Black or Color button → Wi-Fi light should blink and then become steady.
      • Ensure your printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
      • Reinstall the printer driver on your device or use the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile).
    • Reset network settings:
      • Hold Stop until the alarm lamp flashes 21 times, then release to reset network settings.
  3. Poor Print Quality (Lines, Faded, Smudges)
    • Blurry or streaky prints
    • Print Head Cleaning:
      • Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Canon G3620 series > Printing Preferences > Maintenance tab > Cleaning.
    • Mac:
      • Use System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > G3625 > Options & Supplies > Utility.
    • Perform Deep Cleaning if quality is still bad.
    • Run Print Head Alignment.
    • Check ink levels. If ink is low, refill tanks with Canon GI-61 ink.
  4. Paper Jam or Feed Issues
    • Power off printer.
    • Open front and rear covers to inspect for jammed paper.
    • Gently remove paper, avoiding any rips.
    • Check for any debris inside.
    • Reinsert paper properly (aligned and not overfilled). • Use only recommended paper sizes and types
