Overview
The Canon Pixma G3080 is a wireless, all-in-one (print, scan, and copy) inkjet printer designed for high-volume printing at a low running cost. It is an integrated, refillable ink tank system, with built-in tanks that are easily visible on the front of the printer.

- Convenient design: The G3080 features non-squeeze ink bottles with a unique key-type nozzle to prevent accidental filling into the wrong tank. The operational panel on some models can be tilted for easier use.
- High-quality output: The printer uses a hybrid ink system that delivers sharp text for documents and vibrant, colorful photos. It supports printing borderless photos up to A4 size.
- User-friendly interface: A 3.429 cm monochrome square LCD screen with guided instructions simplifies operation and settings without needing to consult a manual.
- Maintenance: The printer features a replaceable print head and maintenance cartridge, which minimizes downtime and extends the printer’s lifespan
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Canon G3080 setup on Windows
- Select “G3080” as your printer model.
- Download the Setup File:
- In the Product Setup section, click “Download” to get the setup file for your Windows operating system.
- Run the Setup:
- Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start the installation process.
- The setup guide will launch. Connect your Canon G3080 printer to your Windows PC using, USB cable when prompted by the setup guide.
- Install Drivers and Software:
- The setup process will guide you through installing the necessary printer drivers and any additional software for your G3080.
- Complete Setup:
- Finalize the printer setup and software installation on your Windows computer.
Canon G3080 setup on macOS
- Download Software:
- In the “Product Setup” section, click “Download” to get the setup file.
- Install the Software:
- Double-click the downloaded file and then double-click the “Setup” icon.
- Enter your administrator name and password when prompted, then click “Next”.
- Add Printer:
- When asked to select your printer, if it’s not detected, ensure it’s turned on and properly connected (either via USB or Wi-Fi). Click “Add Printer” and select your Canon G3080 from the list, then click “Add”.
- Complete Installation:
- Finish the software installation.
- Verify Installation:
- Once installed, you can find your printer listed in your Mac’s “Printers & Scanners” settings. You should also see options for both printing and scanning.
Canon G3080 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Connect to the Wifi:
- Turn on your Canon G3080.
- Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
- Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Go to the app store.
- Search for the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App”.
- Download and install the app.
- Add printer:
- Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- App will search for the available printers, Select your G3080 from the available list.
- Click on Add printer.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon G3080 setup on Android
- Download and Install the App:
- On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY”.
- Install the app.
- Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Canon G3080 printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Open the App and Add Printer:
- Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Tap on “Add Printer” or “Register Printer”.
- The app will search for available printers on the network.
- Select your Canon G3080 printer from the list.
- Complete Setup:
- The app will guide you through the remaining setup steps, which may include:
- Changing the printer’s name (optional).
- Printing a test page to confirm the connection.
- Accepting terms and conditions.
- Setting up print plans (if applicable).
- Star Printing:
- Once the setup is complete, you should be able to print documents and photos from your Android device using the Canon PRINT app.
Canon G3080 setup on Chromebook
- Connect to the same network:
- Ensure your Canon G3080 and your Chromebook are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Chromebook settings:
- Click on the time in the bottom right corner, then select “Settings”.
- Navigate to printers:
- Under “Device,” scroll down and select “Printers and scanners”.
- Add printer manually
- Click the button next to “Add printer”.
- Enter printer information:
- Name: Give your printer a recognizable name.
- Add the printer: Click “Add”.
- After adding the printer, you should be able to print from your Chromebook. You may also need to select your printer from the list when printing a document or scan something to your Chromebook.
