Canon G2900 setup on Windows
- Install the ink bottles, load paper into the tray, and connect the power cable.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer driver and software.
- Since the G2900 uses USB, connect the printer to your PC using the supplied USB cable when prompted.
- The software will detect the printer and complete the setup.
- If not automatically added, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and click Add a Printer.
- Open a document and print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon G2900 setup on macOS
- Install ink bottles, load paper, and connect the power cord.
- Press the power button and wait for initialization.
- Plug the supplied USB cable into both the printer and your Mac.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install the driver.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click the “+” button, and select Canon G2900 from the list.
- Follow any final prompts and set the G2900 as the default printer, if desired.
- Open any document or image, click File > Print, and select the G2900 to confirm successful setup.
Canon G2900 setup on Android
- Install the ink bottles, load paper, and power on the printer.
- Ensure your Android device supports OTG and use a USB OTG cable to connect to the printer.
- Plug the printer’s USB cable into the OTG adapter, then connect it to your Android device.
- Download and install Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Launch the app; it may detect the connected printer automatically.
- Grant access if prompted to use USB printing.
- Open a document or photo in the Canon app and tap Print.
Canon G2900 setup on Chromebook
- Install the ink bottles, load paper, and plug in the printer.
- Press the power button to power up the device.
- Use a USB cable to connect the G2900 directly to your Chromebook.
- Click the time in the lower-right corner, then click the Settings gear icon.
- Scroll down, click Advanced, then go to Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer > enter a name (e.g., Canon G2900), and select the connected USB printer.
- Choose Canon as the manufacturer and find a similar driver if G2900 is not listed.
- Open a document or webpage, press Ctrl + P, and print.
