Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer
- Put the printer on through a power source
- Connect the printer to the PC using the provided USB cable

- Unbox the printer
- Put the printer on through a power source
- Connect the printer to the PC using the provided USB cable
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the installer and follow onscreen instructions
- Print a test page to confirm setup
Canon MegaTank G2411 setup on macOS
- Unbox the printer
- Put the printer on through a power source
- Connect the printer to the PC using the provided USB cable
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners (or System Preferences on older macOS)
- Click the “+” button to add a new printer.
- Your Mac should detect the G2411 automatically.
- If not, download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Install the driver and return to Printers and Scanners
- Click “+”, select the G2411 again—it should now list the correct Canon driver.
- Click Add, and print a test page to confirm.
Canon MegaTank G2411 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Ensure your Android device supports USB OTG (most modern phones do).
- Get a USB OTG adapter to connect the printer’s USB cable to your phone.
- Install the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and connect the printer via USB.
- If prompted, grant permission to access the USB device.
- The app should detect the G2411 automatically.
- Follow on-screen instructions to complete setup.
- User can now print directly from the app or share files (PDFs, images) to the app to print.
Canon MegaTank G2411 setup on Chromebook
- Turn on the printer and connect it to your Chromebook using a USB cable.
- On your Chromebook, click the time (bottom right) > Settings.
- Scroll to Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer > your printer should appear under “Available printers to save.”
- Select Canon G2411 (may show as “Canon USB Printer” or similar).
- If it doesn’t auto-detect, click Add manually:·
- Name: Canon G2411
- Address: usb://Canon/ (Chromebook usually auto-fills this)
- Protocol: USB
- PPD: Click Browse, then choose a Generic PCL or manually upload the Canon driver if available.
- Click Add.
- Print a test page to confirm it’s working.
