Overview
The Canon PIXMA G2260 is a high-volume, wired All-in-One (AIO) printer designed for cost-effective printing, scanning, and copying. Part of Canon’s MegaTank series, it features a refillable ink system that delivers exceptionally high page yields, making it ideal for home offices, students, and small businesses.
Features
- High page yield upto 7700 colour pages, and six thousand black and white pages.
- Delivers print speeds of up to 10.8 images per minute (ipm) for black and white, and 6.0 ipm for colour.
- The MegaTank system offers an ultra-low cost per print—approximately ₹0.30 for black and white, and ₹0.45 for colour prints.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer and turn the power on
- Fill ink tanks using the provided Canon ink bottles
- Install the print heads as per the included manual
- Load plain paper into the rear tray.
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

- Unbox the printer and turn the power on
- Fill ink tanks using the provided Canon ink bottles
- Install the print heads as per the included manual
- Load plain paper into the rear tray.
- Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
- Connect the printer to your Windows PC using a USB cable (not included).
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the setup files and follow necessary instructions
- Choose USB connection when prompted
- Complete the driver installation and restart the PC if required
- Print a test page to confirm operation
Canon MegaTank G2270 setup on macOS
- Unbox the printer and turn the power on
- Fill ink tanks using the provided Canon ink bottles as per manual
- Load paper into the rear tray
- Turn on the printer
- Use a USB 2.0 cable (not included) to connect the printer to your Mac.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow onscreen instructions
- Select USB when prompted
- After installation, restart Mac if necessary
- Print the test page to confirm smooth operation
Canon MegaTank G2270 setup on Android
- Get a USB OTG adapter: Most Android phones need a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adapter to connect USB printers.
- Connect the printer.
- Plug the Canon G2270 into the adapter, then connect to your Android phone.
- Power on the printer.
- Install Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app — it will detect the printer via USB.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to register the printer
- Allow necessary permissions when prompted.
- Once registered, choose Documents or Photos to print from your device.
Canon MegaTank G2270 setup on Chromebook
- Install mobility print on the computer where the printer is connected
- Connect both the Chromebook and PC to the same Wi-Fi network
- On Chromebook, go to Settings > Print.
- The shared Canon G2270 should appear—select and add it.
- Now you can print from your Chromebook to the Canon G2270 via the networked PC.
