Canon MegaTank G1830 setup on Windows
- Unpack the printer, remove all protective materials, and fill the ink tanks with the provided bottles.
- Plug in the power cord, turn on the printer, and install the print heads if prompted.
- Insert your preferred paper into the rear tray.
- Use the included USB cable to connect the printer to your Windows PC.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded setup file and follow on-screen instructions to complete installation.
- After installation, print a test page to confirm successful setup.
Canon MegaTank G1830 setup on macOS
- Unpack the printer and carefully fill the ink tanks using the supplied bottles.
- Open the front panel, insert the print heads if prompted, and close the panel securely.
- Plug in the printer and press the power button to turn it on.
- Place preferred paper in the rear paper tray.
- Use the included USB cable to connect the printer to your Mac.
- Download Drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the instructions to install the printer software.
- Add Printer: Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click Add Printer, and select the PIXMA G1830.
- Print a document to ensure setup is complete.
Canon MegaTank G1830 setup on Android
- Plug in and power on the Canon G1830. Load paper and ensure ink is filled.
- Connect the printer to Android phone/tablet using a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adapter and the printer’s USB cable.
- Download and install the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the Canon Print app; it should detect the printer via USB. Grant permission if prompted.
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > USB Connection, and follow on-screen instructions.
- Open a file or photo on your Android device, tap Share or Print, and choose the G1830 printer from the list.
Canon MegaTank G1830 setup on Chromebook
- Plug in the printer, turn it on, and load A4 or preferred paper in the rear tray.
- Use a USB cable to connect the G1830 to your Chromebook.
- On Chromebook, click the time in the bottom right > gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to Advanced > Printing > Printers, then click Add Printer.
- Chromebook should automatically detect the connected Canon G1830. Select it from the list.
- Give the printer a name (e.g., “Canon G1830”), confirm the details, and click Add.
- Open any document and select Print to verify setup.
