Canon MegaTank G1810 setup on Windows
- Unbox the printer and remove all packaging materials, including protective tapes.
- Connect the power cord and turn on the printer.
- Install ink bottles into the designated tanks by lifting the scanner unit and following color-coded labels
- Load paper into the rear paper tray and adjust the paper guides
- Connect the printer to your PC using the included USB cable
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the installer, follow on-screen instructions, and select “USB Connection” when prompted
- Complete driver installation, and restart your PC if required.
- Print a test page to confirm successful setup
Canon MegaTank G1810 setup on macOS
- Unbox the printer, remove all packing materials, and install the ink bottles according to the color-coded labels.
- Place paper in the rear tray and adjust the paper guides.
- Connect the printer to your Mac using the USB cable.
- Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted, select the USB connection option.
- Complete the installation process and restart your Mac if necessary.
- Open the “Printers & Scanners” settings on your Mac (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners).
- Add the printer by clicking the “+” button, then select your Canon PIXMA G1810.
- Print a test page to ensure everything works properly.
Canon MegaTank G1810 setup on Android
- Connect the printer to Android device using a USB cable
- Get a USB OTG adapter to connect the printer’s USB cable to your phone.
- Download and install the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Connect the printer via USB using the OTG adapter; grant permission if prompted.
- If the Canon app doesn’t detect the printer, install the “NokoPrint” app (a third-party app with USB support).
- Open the app, allow USB access, and select Canon G1810 when it appears.
- Load paper and ink, and test print a photo or document from your phone.
Canon MegaTank G1810 setup on Chromebook
- Connect the printer to Chromebook using a USB cable.
- Turn on the printer and wait a few moments for the system to detect it.
- On your Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click “Add Printer”, and look for Canon G1810 in the detected devices.
- If it’s not listed, click “Add manually” and fill in:·
- Name: Canon G1810
- Address:
usb://Canon/G1810(or as listed under USB devices) - Protocol: Select IPP or USB
- PPD: Choose Generic PCL or Generic Inkjet (Canon doesn’t officially support Chrome OS).
- Click Add and try printing a test page.
