Canon MegaTank G1530 setup on Windows
- Remove the printer from the box, connect the power cord, and switch it on.
- Insert paper into the rear input tray.
- Open the ink tank cover and fill the ink tanks using the included bottles. Ensure the ink levels are visible.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Plug the printer into your computer using the provided USB cable.
- Run the downloaded setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer software.
- In Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click “Set as Default.”
- Print a test page to confirm the setup is complete.
Canon MegaTank G1530 setup on macOS
- Unpack the printer, connect the power cable, and turn it on.
- Insert paper into the rear input tray.
- Open the ink tank cover and fill the tanks with the provided ink bottles, ensuring they are properly filled.
- Connect the printer to your Mac using the included USB cable.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, click the “+” sign to add the printer, and select your Canon G1530.
- If desired, set the G1530 as your default printer.
- Print a test page to ensure everything is working properly.
Canon MegaTank G1530 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Unpack the printer, plug it in, and turn it on.
- Place paper into the rear tray.
- Use the provided Canon ink bottles to fill each tank carefully.
- Use Canon PrintApp with a USB Adapter using a Lightning to USB adapter (Apple Camera Adapter) to connect the printer via cable.
- Install the Canon Print app from the App Store.
- Launch the app and follow the prompts to detect and connect to the printer.
- Allow access to your device’s files and USB connection.
- Select a file or photo and print via the app.
Canon MegaTank G1530 setup on Android
- Unpack the printer, connect the power cord, and turn it on.
- Place paper in the rear input tray.
- Install the ink using the provided Canon ink bottles.
- Download the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Use a USB OTG adapter to connect the printer to your Android device.
- Launch the app; it should detect the printer via USB.
- Complete the setup by following the app instructions.
- Allow the app to access your files and USB device if prompted.
- Choose a document or photo in the app and tap Print to confirm setup.
Canon MegaTank G1530 setup on Chromebook
- Unpack the printer, connect the power cord, and turn it on.
- Insert paper into the rear input tray.
- Fill the ink tanks using the provided ink bottles as per the manual.
- Make sure Chromebook is updated and connected to the internet.
- Plug the Canon G1530 into your Chromebook using a USB cable.
- On Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Chromebook should detect the printer automatically. Click “Add” when the G1530 appears.
- Chrome OS will typically assign the correct configuration automatically.
- Open a document or webpage and select Print to ensure it works correctly.
