Overview

The Canon PIXMA G1200 is a Mega tank inkjet printer that uses refillable ink bottles instead of traditional cartridges. Canon MegaTank G1200 setup on macOS

  1. Prepare the Printer:
    • Remove all packaging materials from the G1200.
    • Install the ink cartridges and load paper.
    • Turn on the printer.
  2. Download and Install the Driver:
    • Drivers links are available at the bottom of the page for the correct driver version for your Mac’s operating system.
    • Download the driver file.
    • Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
  3. Add the Printer to Your Mac:
    • Open System Settings .
    • Click on “Printers & Scanners” (or “Print & Scan” or “Print & Fax”).
    • Click the “+” button to add a printer.
    • Select your PIXMA G1200 from the list of available printers.
    • Click “Add”.
  4. Connect via USB:
    • Use a USB cable to connect the G1200 to your Mac’s USB port.
    • Once connected, the printer should be detected by your Mac and the driver installation should complete.
  5. Test Print:
    • After adding the printer, try a test print to ensure everything is working correctly
