The Canon PIXMA E474 is a compact and affordable all-in-one printer, scanner, and copier with a primary focus on wireless connectivity and cost-effective, high-capacity ink cartridges.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Canon PIXMA E474 setup on Windows
- Download the Printer Driver:
- Navigate to the drivers section for the E474
- Select your Windows version and download the appropriate driver file
- Install the Printer Driver:
- Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, including selecting your region and computer OS.
- When prompted, connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable (make sure it’s powered on).
- The installer will guide you through the rest of the process, including print head alignment.
- Connect to a Wireless Network (if desired):
- During installation, you’ll have the option to set up a wireless connection.
- If you choose wireless, the setup will guide you through connecting to your router.
- Alternatively, you can connect via Ethernet if you prefer.
- Test the Print:
- After installation, try printing a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.

- Connect the printer:
- Turn on the printer and connect it to your Mac using a USB cable.
- Install the software:
- If you have a CD-ROM, insert it and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If not, download the necessary software.
- Choose “Use the printer via USB” during the installation.
- Add the printer to your Mac’s list:
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- If your printer isn’t listed, click the “+” button to add it.
- Select your printer model from the list.
- Connect to your Wi-Fi network:
- You may need to connect the printer to your Mac via USB initially to set up the Wi-Fi connection.
- Test Print: After setting up, perform a test print to ensure everything is working.

- Connect to the Wifi:
- Turn on your Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4251i.
- Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
- Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Go to the app store.
- Search for the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App”.
- Download and install the app.
- Add printer:
- Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- App will search for the available printers, Select your Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4251i from the available list.
- Click on Add printer.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon PIXMA E474 setup on Android
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Download the app from the play store.
- Add the printer on the app:
- Click on the add icon on the phone.
- Now click on the register printer.
- Select your Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4251i.
- Now the printer is installed on your phone.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon PIXMA E474 setup on Chromebook
- Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network: Ensure your Chromebook and Canon E474 are both connected to the same wireless network.
- Access Chromebook settings: Click the time in the bottom right corner, then select “Settings”.
- Navigate to Printers and scanners: Under “Device,” find and select “Printers and scanners”.
- Add the printer: Choose “Printers + Add printer manually”.
- Enter printer information:
- Name: Give the printer a name for easy identification.
- Add the printer: Select “Add” to finalize the setup
