Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove packaging materials
- Plug in the printer, and turn it on
- Open the front panel and install the cartridges
- Load preferred paper into the tray
Manuals & Guides
Canon E4500 setup on Windows
- Download drivers and software from the bottom of the page
- Run the full driver and software package for Windows.
- During installation, choose the preferred connection type: USB or Wi-Fi.
- For Wi-Fi setup, use the printer’s control panel to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- The installer will detect the printer and complete the configuration process.
- Once setup is done, print a test page to verify functionality.
Canon E4500 setup on macOS
- On the printer, go to Wi-Fi Setup and follow the on-screen steps to connect it to your wireless network.
- On your Mac, open System Settings and go to Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button to add a printer.
- Your Canon PIXMA E4500 should appear in the list of available printers. Select it.
- If it doesn’t appear, download the latest driver and software package from the bottom of the page.
- Run the installer, then return to Printers & Scanners and add the printer again.
- Select the correct driver if prompted, and click Add.
- Print a test page to verify successful installation.
Canon E4500 setup on iPhone & iPad
iOS only support Wireless Connections:
- Connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the printer’s control panel.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and allow the necessary permissions for network and device access.
- Tap the “+” icon or select Add Printer, then choose Register Printer.
- The app will search for printers connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- When the PIXMA E4500 appears, tap it to establish the connection.
- If it doesn’t show up, follow the app’s instructions to use Easy Wireless Connect for manual setup.
- Once connected, you can print photos, documents, and scan directly from your iOS device.
- The E4500 also supports Apple AirPrint—you can print from most iOS apps without additional drivers.
- Simply tap Share > Print, select the printer, and start printing.
Canon E4500 setup on Android
- Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the printer’s control panel.
- On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Open the app and grant any necessary permissions for location, storage, and network access.
- Tap Add Printer or the “+” icon, then choose Register Printer.
- The app will search for printers connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- When the Canon PIXMA E4500 appears, tap on it to connect.
- If the printer doesn’t appear, follow the Easy Wireless Connect method shown in the app to manually link your device.
- Once connected, you can print documents and photos directly from the app.
- You can also monitor ink levels, run maintenance, and scan using your Android device.
- The Canon E4500 is now ready for wireless printing from Android.
Canon E4500 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure the Canon PIXMA E4500 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook.
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the bottom-right corner and open Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced, then go to Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer to start scanning for available printers on the network.
- When the PIXMA E4500 appears in the list, click Add next to its name.
- If it doesn’t appear, click Add manually, then enter the printer’s IP address (findable via the printer’s Wi-Fi settings).
- Choose a name (e.g., “Canon E4500”) and select Generic Inkjet Printer if a specific driver isn’t listed.
- Click Add, and the printer will be saved for future use.
- Open any document, press Ctrl + P, and select the PIXMA E4500 from the list.
- Click Print to complete the process.
