Canon PIXMA E4280 setup on Windows
- Unbox the printer and plug it on
- Install ink cartridges and load onto the paper tray
- Connect printer to Wi-Fi using the printer’s control panel
- Go to Settings > Device Settings > LAN settings > Wireless LAN setup
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run setup file and follow onscreen instructions
- Choose wireless connection when prompted
- Software will detect the printer itself.
- Complete the installation.
- Print a test page to confirm normal operation
Canon PIXMA E4280 setup on macOS
- Unbox and turn the printer on
- Make sure WiFi connection is active and stable.
- On the printer, go to Settings>Device Settings>LAN settings>Wireless LAN Setup
- Select your WiFi printer and enter the password to connect the printer
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow onscreen instructions
- Choose wireless connections during setup
- Once the software detects your printer, complete the installation
- Open System Settings> Printers and Scanners on your Mac
- Click the + button, select the Canon E4280 from the list, and click Add.
- Print test page to confirm normal operation
Canon PIXMA E4280 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Turn the Canon E4280 and connect it to your WiFi
- Settings > Device Settings > LAN Settings > Wireless LAN Setup on the printer
- On your Mac device, go to the App Store
- Download and install the Canon Print app from App store
- Open the app and grant necessary permissions
- Tap the + icon or Add Printer, then choose Register Printer
- Select Connect via Wireless Router and follow the prompts
- The app will scan devices on your Wifi network
- Tap your Canon E4280 when it appears, then confirm the connection
- Print test page to confirm normal operation
- You can also print directly from apps using AirPrint (no setup needed):
- Open a file, tap Share > Print, and select Canon E4280
Canon PIXMA E4280 setup on Android
- Turn the printer on
- Ensure it is connected to WiFi
- Settings > Device Settings > LAN Settings > Wireless LAN Setup
- Download Canon Print app from the Google PlayStore
- Open the app and accept necessary permissions
- Tap add printer or + icon
- Select Register Printer > Connect via Wireless Router
- The app will scan for registered printers on its own
- Select Canon E4280 from the list
- Follow any additional prompts to complete the installation
- To print, open a file, tap Share > Print, and choose the Canon E4280
Canon PIXMA E4280 setup on Chromebook
- Unbox and turn the printer on
- On the printer, go to Settings> Device Settings > LAN settings > Wireless LAN setup
- On your Chromebook, click the clock at the bottom-right, then select the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll down, click Advanced, then under Printing, select Printers.
- Click Add Printer.
- The Chromebook will automatically search for available devices
- Select Canon E4280 from the list, and click Add.
- If prompted, confirm or edit the printer name and click Add again
- The printer will now be available on your print options
- Print test page using Crtl+P to ensure normal operation
