Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove packaging materials
- Plug in the printer, and turn it on
- Open the panel and install the cartridges
- Load preferred paper into the tray
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Canon PIXMA E3170 setup on Windows
- On the printer’s LCD display, select Wi-Fi setup > Easy Wireless Connect.
- The printer will enter wireless connection mode.
- Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded setup file and follow on-screen instructions.
- Choose “Wireless Connection” when prompted during setup.
- The software will detect the printer and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, the driver installation will complete automatically.
- Print a test page to confirm setup is successful.
Canon PIXMA E3170 setup on macOS
- Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page.
- Open the downloaded file and begin the installation process.
- When prompted, choose Wireless Connection and follow on-screen steps.
- The installer will detect your Wi-Fi network and connect the printer.
- Once connected, the software will automatically install necessary drivers.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, and confirm the printer appears in the list.
- Print a test page to verify successful installation.
Canon PIXMA E3170 setup on iPhone & iPad
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and allow necessary permissions (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Connect via Wireless Router.
- Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.
- The app will detect the PIXMA E3170 and guide you through the Wi-Fi connection process.
- Follow on-screen prompts to complete setup and connect the printer.
- Once setup is done, the printer will appear in the app and on the iOS print menu.
- Print a test page using AirPrint or the Canon app.

- On the printer, go to Wi-Fi Setup > Easy Wireless Connect and confirm to start wireless pairing.
- On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and agree to the terms and permissions.
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Connect via Wireless Router.
- The app will search for available printers on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select PIXMA E3170 from the list when it appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete Wi-Fi configuration.
- Once connected, the app will display printer status and allow printing and scanning.
- Print a test photo or document from your phone to confirm successful setup.

- Ensure printer is connected to Wi-Fi via Wi-Fi Setup > Easy Wireless Connect on the printer’s LCD screen.
