Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

- Download the driver and software:
- Select your operating system (Windows). Download the full driver and software package.
- Install the software:
- Double-click the downloaded file to start the setup process.
- Connect the printer:
- If the printer driver isn’t automatically installed, your computer might not be detecting the printer. You may need to manually add the printer through your Windows settings.
- For wireless connections:
- Ensure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
- For USB connections:
- Connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable.

- Download the driver and software:

- Install the software:

- Using AirPrint (Recommended):
- Connect your E3140 to your Wi-Fi network . Refer to the printer’s setup guide for specific instructions on network connection if needed.
- Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network: as the printer.
- Open the document or photo you wish to print: on your iOS device.
- Tap the “Share” icon: (the square with an arrow pointing up) and then select “Print”.
- Select your Canon E3140 printer:
- From the list of available printers and adjust print settings as needed.
- Tap “Print” .
- Using the Canon PRINT app:
- Download the “Canon PRINT” app: from the App Store on your iOS device.
- Open the Canon PRINT app: and follow the on-screen instructions to add and set up your E3140 printer. You can connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network through this app if needed.
- Once set up, you can use the app: to print documents and photos from your iOS device, and also utilize other features.

- Install Canon PRINT app:
- Download and install the Canon PRINT app from Google Play Store onto your Android smartphone or tablet.
- Connect to the same Wi-Fi network:
- Ensure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your Canon E3177 printer is connected to.
- Launch Canon PRINT app:
- Open the Canon PRINT app on your Android device.
- Register your printer:
- The app will typically search for available Canon printers on the network.
- Print and Scan:
- Once your printer is registered, you can use the Canon PRINT app to print documents and photos from your Android device or scan images to your device.
Canon PIXMA E3140 setup on Chromebook
- Add the printer to your Chromebook:
- On your Chromebook, click on the time at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select Settings (the gear icon).
- Click on Advanced to expand the menu.
- Scroll down and select Printing.
- Click on Printers.
- If your printer is listed, click Setup next to its name.
- Test your printer:
- After adding the printer, test it to ensure it works correctly. If it’s not appearing in the list of printers, select “See more” and choose the printer you wish to use, then click “Print”.
