Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully unpack your CanoScan LiDE 300 scanner and remove all the protective materials.
- Connect the provided USB cable to the USB port on your computer and the other end to the USB port on the scanner.

Canon LiDE 300 setup on Windows
Setting up Canon CanoScan LiDE 210 – Windows (USB):
- Download the Drivers:
a. Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
b. Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the scanner:
a. Plug the USB cable into the scanner and computer.
- Scan the document:
a. Place your document face down on the scanner, select the document type, and start the scan.
Canon LiDE 300 setup on macOS
Setting up Canon CanoScan LiDE 210 – Mac (USB):
- Download the Drivers:
a. Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
b. Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the scanner:
a. Plug the USB cable into the scanner and Mac.
- Scan the document:
a. Place your document face down on the scanner, select the document type, and start the scan.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power connection.
- Check the lock switch.
- Uninstall drivers or try to install new drivers.
- If you see Slow or Hanging issues reduce scan resolution in the software (e.g., from 1200 dpi to 300 dpi).
- If there are Lines / Streaks on Scans clean the scanner glass with a microfiber cloth and mild glass cleaner.
