Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove the Canon TS5130 printer from the box and remove all protective packaging.
  2. Open the front cover and insert the ink cartridges into their corresponding slots until they click into place.
  3. Adjust the paper tray to fit your desired paper size and load the paper into the tray.
  4. Plug the printer into a power outlet and turn it on using the power button.
  5. Select Language.

Canon TS5130 setup on Windows

  1. On the printer screen, go to Wireless LAN Setup under settings, and choose Easy Wireless Connect.
  2. Confirm the setup mode when prompted (Wi-Fi light should flash).
  3. Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
  4. Run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Choose Wireless LAN Connection as your setup method.
  6. Ensure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
  7. The setup utility will detect your printer; select it and complete the installation.
  8. Once installed, print a test page to confirm successful setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the power
  2. Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  3. Check the cartridges
  4. Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also make sure that there is enough ink and that the cartridges fit the model of your printer
  5. Check paper
  6. If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure there are no jams in the printer. You can now shut off the paper tray.
  7. Check Wi-Fi connection
  8. Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
  9. Make sure that the Wi-Fi is stable
  10. Reset the printer
  11. Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  12. Update printer drivers
  13. If the drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
