Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove the Canon TS5130 printer from the box and remove all protective packaging.
- Open the front cover and insert the ink cartridges into their corresponding slots until they click into place.
- Adjust the paper tray to fit your desired paper size and load the paper into the tray.
- Plug the printer into a power outlet and turn it on using the power button.
- Select Language.

Canon TS5130 setup on Windows
- On the printer screen, go to Wireless LAN Setup under settings, and choose Easy Wireless Connect.
- Confirm the setup mode when prompted (Wi-Fi light should flash).
- Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
- Run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Choose Wireless LAN Connection as your setup method.
- Ensure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- The setup utility will detect your printer; select it and complete the installation.
- Once installed, print a test page to confirm successful setup.
Canon TS5130 setup on macOS
- On the printer’s screen, go to Settings > Wireless LAN Setup and select Easy Wireless Connect.
- Confirm the prompt to start setup; the Wi-Fi light will begin flashing.
- Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.
- Choose Wireless LAN Connection during setup.
- Ensure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- The software will detect the printer; select it and complete the installation.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners and ensure the Canon TS5130 is listed.
- Print a test page to verify the setup.
Canon TS5130 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Go to Settings > Wireless LAN Setup, then select Easy Wireless Connect on the printer’s screen.
- Confirm the prompt; the Wi-Fi lamp will start flashing, indicating it’s ready to connect.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and allow necessary permissions (Bluetooth, location, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Easy Connection, and follow the in-app instructions.
- The app will automatically detect and connect to the TS5130 on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, you can print photos, documents, or web pages directly from your device through the app.
- Alternatively, use Apple Air Print: open any printable file, tap Share > Print, and select your Canon TS5130 (no drivers required).
- Print a test page to confirm successful setup.
Canon TS5130 setup on Android
- Press Home > Settings > Wireless LAN Setup, then select Easy Wireless Connect.
- Confirm when prompted; the Wi-Fi lamp will begin flashing, indicating the printer is ready to connect.
- On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and grant the required permissions (location, network access, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Easy Connection, then follow the on-screen steps.
- The app will detect the TS5130 and connect it to your Android device via the same Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, the printer will appear in the app for printing, scanning, and maintenance.
- You can also install the Canon Print Service Plugin and enable it in Settings > Printing for direct printing support.
- Print a test document to confirm the setup.
Canon TS5130 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi via Settings > Wireless LAN Setup > Easy Wireless Connect on the printer’s screen.
- Confirm that the Wi-Fi lamp is flashing, indicating setup mode is active.
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the bottom-right corner and go to Settings.
- Scroll down and select Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer; your Canon TS5130 should appear if it’s on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select the printer and click Add. Chrome OS will automatically configure it using the appropriate driver (or via IPP).
- If not detected, click Add manually and enter the IP address (find it on the printer’s network settings screen).
- Choose Canon as the manufacturer and a close matching model or IPP Everywhere as the driver.
- Print a test page to ensure successful setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also make sure that there is enough ink and that the cartridges fit the model of your printer
- Check paper
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure there are no jams in the printer. You can now shut off the paper tray.
- Check Wi-Fi connection
- Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi is stable
- Reset the printer
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers
- If the drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
