Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the Canon TR8630 from its packaging, ensuring to remove all protective materials and tapes.
- Open the front cover of the printer. Insert the ink cartridges into their designated slots until they click into place securely.
- Adjust the paper guides in the rear paper tray to fit the size of the paper you will be using, then load the paper into the tray.
- Plug the printer into a power outlet and press the power button to turn it on.

Canon TR8630 setup on Windows
Setting up Canon PIXMA TR8630 – Windows (Wi fi):
- Connect your printer to Wifi:
- Click on the setting icon.
- Click device settings.
- Click LAN settings.
- Click on Wifi.
- Click Wifi setup.
- Click Manual Connect.
- Select your wifi network from the available list.
- Enter the password.
- Click ok.
- Download the Drivers:
- Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
- Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
USB Setup (Wired Setup):
- Download the Drivers:
- Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
- Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
- Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
- Go to the settings of your PC.
- Search for bluetooth and devices.
- Click on Printers and Scanners.
- From the available printers list select your Canon PIXMA TR8630.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Setting up Canon PIXMA TR8630 – Mac (Wi-fi):
- Connect your printer to Wifi:
- Click on the setting icon.
- Click device settings.
- Click LAN settings.
- Click on Wifi.
- Click Wifi setup.

- Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your Mac.
- On your Mac click on the system preference option.
- Now click on Printer and Scanners.
- The available printers list will appear on the screen, select your Canon PIXMA TR8630.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Setting up Canon PIXMA TR8630 – IOS:
- Connect to the Wifi:
- Turn on your Canon PIXMA TR8630.
- Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
- Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Go to the app store.
- Search for the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App”.
- Download and install the app.
- Add printer:
- Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- App will search for the available printers, Select your Canon PIXMA TR8630 from the available list.
- Click on Add printer.

- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Download the app from the play store.
- Add the printer on the app:
- Click on the add icon on the phone.
- Now click on the register printer.
- Select your Canon PIXMA TR8630.
- Now the printer is installed on your phone.
- Print the Test page:

Setting up Canon PIXMA TR8630 – Chrome OS (Wi-fi) :
- Connect the printer to Wifi connection:
- Choose your wi-fi connection from the available networks.
- Enter the password.
- Wait until the printer displays connected.
- Add Printer:
- Click the Settings icon.
- In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
- Click Printing and then Printers.
- Your Canon PIXMA TR8630 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- Click Add.

- Your Canon PIXMA TR8630 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting Steps
- No Power:
- Here are some common resolutions for fixing power issues:
- Make sure the power plug is firmly connected to the printer
- Make sure the main power switch is turned on
- Make sure that the wall outlet/plug adaptor/extension cable is functional by plugging in a different device

- Printer not turned off:
- When your printer is connected to a computer via a USB cable, if you press the printer’s ON button immediately after you turn off the computer, the printer may not turn off (ON lamp keeps flashing, LCD display does not turn off) in rare instances. If the printer is left in that condition for a long period of time, the temperature of the internal motor may rise, though it poses no safety hazard.

- Make sure the page size and media type settings match size and type of loaded paper

- Make sure the platen glass is not dirty (for copy)
- Make sure original is properly loaded on platen (for copy)
