Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove the printer from the packaging, and take off all protective materials, including tape and plastic covers.
- Place the printer on a flat, stable surface. Ensure you have enough space to accommodate the printer’s size and media handling requirements.
- Lift the cover to access the ink tank compartment.
- The Canon TC-20 uses refillable ink tanks. Unpack the bottles for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black ink, and carefully fill the corresponding tanks.
- Once the ink tanks are filled, securely close the compartment.
- Load media.
- Plug in the printer and press the power button to turn it on.

Canon TC-20 setup on Windows
- Download and Install Drivers:
- Driver Downloads are available in the Bottom of the page.
- Navigate to the “Drivers, Software & Firmware” section.
- Select the appropriate driver for your Windows version and download it.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Connect the Printer:
- Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable or ensure both devices are on the same network for network printing.
Canon TC-20 setup on macOS
- Download and Install Drivers:
- Driver Downloads are available in the Bottom of the page.
- In the “Drivers, Software & Firmware” section, select the driver compatible with your macOS version and download it.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts.
- Add the Printer:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button to add a new printer.
- Select your Canon TC-20 from the list and click “Add”.
Canon TC-20 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Ensure your iOS device and the TC-20 printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the document or photo you wish to print.
- Tap the Share icon and select Print.
- Choose the Canon TC-20 printer and adjust settings as needed.
- Tap Print to start printing.
Canon TC-20 setup on Android
- Download and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Google Play Store.
- Ensure your Android device and the TC-20 printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app, select the document or image to print, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printing process.
Canon TC-20 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure your Chromebook and the TC-20 printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Click the status area in the lower-right corner of the Chromebook screen.
- Click the Settings gear icon.
- Scroll down and click Advanced.
- Under the “Printing” section, click Printers.
- Click Add Printer.
- Your Chromebook should detect the Canon TC-20 printer. Select it and click Add.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
- Solutions:
- Paper Jam:

- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer
- Solutions:
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):
- Solution:
- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
- Solution:
