Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the Canon TA-30 from its packaging, discarding all protective materials.
- Open the printer cover and insert the ink cartridges into their respective slots until they click securely into place.
- Adjust the paper tray to fit your desired media size and load the paper into the printer.
- Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into a power outlet. Press the power button to turn it on.

Setting up with wi-fi:
Step 1: Installing the Printer Driver
- Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
- Run the Installer: Open the downloaded setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
- Choose Connection Type: During installation, select your preferred connection method: USB or Wi-Fi.
Step 2: Connecting the Printer
- Press the home button on the printer’s touch screen.
- Tap on Network icon.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi setup.
- Tap Easy wireless connect.
- Tap Easy wireless connect and then tap ok or Start.
Step 3: Testing the Printer
- Print a Test Page: After setup is complete, print a test page to verify that the printer is functioning correctly.
Setting up with USB:
Step 1: Installing the Printer Driver

- Print a Test Page: After setup is complete, print a test page to verify that the printer is functioning correctly.

Canon TA-30 setup on iPhone & iPad
Setting up with IOS:
- Connect to the Wifi:
- Turn on your Canon TA-30.
- Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
- Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Get the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Apple App Store.
- Open the app and tap the Plus (+) or Add/Switch icon.
- Select Register Printer. The app will search your local network.
- Add printer:
- Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- App will search for the available printers, Select your Canon TA-30 from the available list.
- Click on Add printer.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon TA-30 setup on Android
Setting up with Android:
- Turn on the Printer:
- To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the power button.
- Connect the Printer to wifi:
- Press the home button on the printer’s touch screen.
- Tap on Network icon.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi setup.
- Tap Easy wireless connect.
- Tap Easy wireless connect and then tap ok or Start.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Open the Play Store on your Phone.
- Search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY”.
- Tap Download and install the app.
- Connect Printer to Wi-Fi Using App:
- In the Canon PRINT app, click “Add Printer”.
- Select “Register Printer” > “Connect via Wireless Router”.
- App will automatically detect your printer.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon TA-30 setup on Chromebook
Setting up with Chromebook:
- Connect the printer to Wifi connection:
- Press the home button on the printer’s touch screen.
- Tap on Network icon.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi setup.
- Tap Easy wireless connect.
- Tap Easy wireless connect and then tap ok or Start.
- Add Printer:
- Click the Settings icon.
- In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
- Click Printing and then Printers.
- Your Canon TA-30 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- Click Add.
- Print the Test page.
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Wired/USB Connection:
- Connect the printer to USB Cable:
- Plug the USB Cable into the printer and the other end to your Chromebook.
- Add printer:
- Click the Settings icon.
- In the settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
- Click Printing and then printers.
- Click on the Add Printer option.
- Your Canon TA-30 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
- Click Add.
- Print the Test page.
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver

- Paper Jam:

- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer
- Solutions:
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):

- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
