Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the Canon PRO-1000 from its packaging, ensuring all protective materials are discarded.
- Open the printer cover and insert the ink cartridges into their corresponding slots until they click securely into place.
- Adjust the paper tray to fit your desired media size and load the paper into the printer.
- Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into a power outlet. Press the power button to turn it on.

Canon PRO-1000 setup on Windows
Set up guide for Canon Pro-1000 on Windows:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Connect Printer to Your network:
On the Printer Click on the HOME button.
Click on LAN settings then press on OK.
Now choose your WIFI and click OK.
Select WIFI Setup, Press OK.
Select easy wireless connect and press OK.
Now choose START and press OK. Your printer will now search for available wireless networks.
Now Go to your computer as soon as the notice “Easy wireless connect is available” appears. - Download and Run the Setup File on Your Windows PC:
Download the Mater setup file from the link given at the bottom of the page.Click Start Setup.
Click NEXT after reading and accepting the License Agreement.
After the installer has finished processing, you will be prompted to click NEXT.
Click CONNECT when prompted to verify your wireless router connection.
Wait for the connection to complete.
Software will install the necessary drivers and software.
Canon PRO-1000 setup on macOS
Set up guide for Canon Pro-1000 on Mac:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Connect Printer to Your network:
On the Printer Click on the HOME button.
Click on LAN settings then press on OK.
Now choose your WIFI and click OK.
Select WIFI Setup, Press OK.
Select easy wireless connect and press OK.
Now choose START and press OK. Your printer will now search for available wireless networks.
Now Go to your Mac as soon as the notice “Easy wireless connect is available” appears. - Download and Run the Setup File on Mac:
Download the setup file.
Drag the Canon PRINT icon into the Applications folder after opening the downloaded file.
From the Applications folder, open the Canon PRINT application.
When asked, choose SETUP Now.
If necessary, enter your account and password, then choose Install Helper.
Click Start Setup on the first screen.
Click Next after accepting the license agreement.
After the installer has finished processing, you will be prompted to click NEXT.
When asked to confirm the connection to your wireless router, click CONNECT.
MAC will communicate with the printer. Wait for the connection to complete.
The installer will download and install the required drivers and software after it is connected. - Add Printer:
When the Add Printer screen appears, select Add Printer.
From the list, pick your printer. Choose Select Software for Use.
Click OK after selecting the relevant printer software.
Click ADD to add the printer.
Canon PRO-1000 setup on iPhone & iPad
Set up guide for Canon Pro-1000 on IOS:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Turn ON the wifi:
Turn the wifi ON and connect it with the printer. Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network. - Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
Go to the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
Search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY”.
Tap Download and install the app. - Add Printer:
Click on the “+” icon (usually at the top or bottom of the screen) to add a printer.
App will search for printers on your Wi-Fi network.
Your device will automatically detect Canon Pro-1000.
Select it and click Add. - Print the Test page:
To make sure it’s functioning, try printing a test page from Word or Notepad.
Canon PRO-1000 setup on Android
Set up guide for Canon Pro-1000 on Android:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
Open the Play Store on your Phone.
Search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY”.
Tap Download and install the app. - Turn ON the wifi:
Turn the wifi ON and connect it with the printer. Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network. - Connect Printer to Wi-Fi Using App:
In the Canon PRINT app, click “Add Printer”.
Select “Register Printer” > “Connect via Wireless Router”.
App will automatically detect your printer.
Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
Canon PRO-1000 setup on Chromebook
Set up guide for Canon Pro-1000 on Chromebook:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Turn ON the wifi:
Turn the wifi ON and connect it with the printer. Ensure that your printer and Chromebook are on the same network. - Add Printer:
Click the Settings icon.
In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
Click Printing and then Printers.
Click the Add printer option to connect the Printer.
Your Canon Pro-1000 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
Click Add. - Print the Test page:
To make sure it’s functioning, try printing a test page from Word or Notepad.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected. - Check the cartridges:
Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also, ensure that there is enough ink. - Check paper:
If the papers are not arranged correctly, take them out of the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure that the paper tray is not jammed. You can now shut off the paper tray. - Check Wi-Fi Connection:
Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
Make sure that the WIFI connection is stable. - Update the Driver:
Outdated drivers may cause problems.
Check for the latest driver updates for your printer model.
Download and install the updated driver.
