Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Carefully remove the Canon PIXMA PRO-200 from its packaging, ensuring that all protective materials are removed.
  2. Open the front cover and insert the ink cartridges into their respective slots, ensuring they are securely seated.
  3. Adjust the paper tray and load your preferred paper size (e.g., A4, Letter, or specialty media).
  4. Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into an electrical outlet. Press the power button to turn it on.

Canon PRO-200 setup on Windows

Setting up Canon image PROGRAF PRO-200 – Windows (Wi-fi):

  1. Preparer the printer:
    • Select LAN settings from the printer screen.
    • Then choose wi-fi.
    • Use the down arrow key and select wi-fi setup.
    • Select Easy wireless connect.
    • The printer preparation is complete.
  2. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Print a test page to confirm the setup.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
  2. Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
    • Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
    • Go to the settings of your PC.
    • Search for bluetooth and devices.
    • Click on Printers and Scanners.
    • From the available printers list select your Canon image PROGRAF PRO-200.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
    • Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
    • Solutions:
      • Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
      • Place the printer close to the router
      • Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
      • Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
      • Restart the router and printer
      • Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
  2. Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
    • Solutions:
      • Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
      • Restart your printer and device
      • Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
      • For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
      • On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
  3. Paper Jam:
    • Solutions:
      • Turn off the printer
      • Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
      • Check for torn paper pieces
      • Restart the printer
  4. Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):
    • Solution:
      • Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
      • Run Print Head Cleaning:
      • Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
      • Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
      • Ensure you’re using compatible paper
