- Remove the packaging, unpack the printer.
- Fill the ink tanks, load paper, and power it on.

Canon G7070 setup on Windows
- Use the printer’s control panel to connect to your wireless network.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Launch the setup file and follow on-screen instructions. Choose “Wireless LAN Connection” during setup.
- Let the software find the G7070 on your network and complete the installation.
- USB Option (Optional): Alternatively, connect the printer via USB and follow prompts for a wired setup.
- Print a test page to confirm everything is working properly.
Canon G7070 setup on macOS
- Use the printer’s control panel to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer drivers.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click the ” +” button, and select the G7070 from the list.
- Confirm successful setup by printing a test page from any application.
Canon G7070 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the control panel.
- Go to the App Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Launch the Canon Print app and grant necessary permissions (Wi-Fi, notifications, etc.).
- Tap “Add Printer” – the app will automatically detect the G7070 on the network.
- Select the G7070 from the list and follow any prompts to complete the setup.
- Use the app to print photos, documents, or scan directly from your iOS device.
Canon G7070 setup on Android
- Connect it to your Wi-Fi network via the control panel.
- Install the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and allow necessary permissions (Wi-Fi, location, etc.).
- Tap “Add Printer” and ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- The app will automatically detect the G7070; tap to connect.
- Follow any on-screen instructions to finish the setup process.
- Print or scan directly from the app using your Android phone or tablet.
Canon G7070 setup on Chromebook
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Use the printer’s control panel to connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook.
- Click the time in the lower-right corner > select Settings > scroll to Advanced > click Printing > then Printers.
- Click Add Printer, select the Canon G7070 from the list of available printers, and click Add.
- Your Chromebook should automatically detect the G7070 and apply the correct configuration (no drivers needed).
- Open a document or webpage, press Ctrl + P, select the G7070, and print a test page.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check Wi-Fi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
