Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer and remove all protective packaging.
- Install the ink bottles as per the instructions in the user manual.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer using the power button.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G670 setup on Windows
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Wi-Fi setup and select “Easy Wireless Connect.”
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded setup file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted, choose “Connect via Wireless LAN” and proceed with the network setup.
- Ensure your PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Complete the installation and wait for the setup confirmation message.
- Print a test page to verify that the printer is working correctly.
Canon G670 setup on macOS
- On the printer’s display, go to Wi-Fi setup and select Easy Wireless Connect.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and run the installer.
- Follow on-screen instructions and choose “Connect via Wireless LAN” when prompted.
- Make sure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- The installer will detect the printer and complete the setup.
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners, verify that the printer appears.
- Print a test page to confirm everything is working.
Canon G670 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Activate Easy Wireless Connect via the printer’s control panel.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and accept any permissions or prompts.
- Tap Add Printer → Register Printer → Connect via Wireless Router.
- The app will search for nearby printers. Allow location and network access if prompted.
- Select G670 from the list of detected printers.
- Enter your Wi-Fi network password if required, and wait for the connection to complete.
- Once connected, the app will register the printer to your iOS device.
- Try printing a photo or document from the Canon app.
- User can also print directly from apps like Safari, Mail, or Photos using AirPrint.
Canon G670 setup on Android
- Ensure it is in Easy Wireless Connect mode (set from the printer’s control panel).
- On your Android device, open Google Play Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and agree to the terms and permissions.
- Tap Add Printer → Register Printer → Connect via Wireless Router.
- The app will search for printers; if prompted, allow location and Wi-Fi permissions.
- When G670 appears, select it and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
- If needed, enter your Wi-Fi password during setup.
- Once connected, the printer will be registered in the app.
- Try printing a photo or document from the app to confirm successful setup.
Canon G670 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure your printer connected to Wi-Fi using Easy Wireless Connect from the printer’s control panel.
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the bottom right, then go to Settings.
- Scroll down and select Advanced, then click Printers under the “Printing” section.
- Your Chromebook will search for available printers on the same Wi-Fi network.
- When Canon G670 appears in the list, click Add next to it.
- If prompted, confirm or enter the printer’s details (name, IP address, protocol: IPP).
- Wait for the Chromebook to finish connecting and saving the printer.
- Once added, open a document or photo, click Print, and select the G670 from the printer list.
- Print a test page to confirm setup is complete.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check WiFi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
