Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6070 setup on Windows
- Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Install the print heads and fill the ink tanks with the supplied ink bottles.
- Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink priming).
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the installer and follow on-screen prompts.
- Choose your connection method: USB, Wi-Fi, or LAN.
- For Wi-Fi: Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network via the Canon installer.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add a Printer or Scanner, select the Canon G6070 from the list, and click Add Device.
- Once setup is complete, print a test page to ensure the printer is properly connected.

- Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Install the print heads and fill the ink tanks with the supplied ink bottles.
- Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink priming).
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button to add a printer.
- Select Canon G6070 from the list and click Add.
- Print a test document to confirm the printer is set up correctly.
Canon G6070 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Install the print heads and fill the ink tanks with the supplied ink bottles.
- Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink priming).
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for and install the Canon Print app.
- Open the Canon Print app and tap Add Printer.
- The app will automatically detect the Canon G6070 on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Tap the printer to complete the connection.
- For supported apps (like Photos, Safari), select AirPrint and choose the Canon PIXMA G6070 to print.
Canon G6070 setup on Android
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Install the print heads and fill the ink tanks with the supplied ink bottles.
- Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink priming).
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Download and install the Canon Print app.
- Open the Canon Print app and tap Add Printer.
- The app will detect the Canon G6070 on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Tap to connect and complete the setup.
- Use the app to print photos, documents, or directly scan from your Android device.
Canon G6070 setup on Chromebook
- Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Install the print heads and fill the ink tanks with the supplied ink bottles.
- Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink priming).
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
- Ensure your Chromebook is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer and select Canon G6070 from the list of available printers.
- Click Add to complete the setup.
- Open a document or webpage, press Ctrl + P, and select the Canon G6070 to print.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check WiFi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
