Overview

The Canon G6070 is a high-performance, refillable ink tank all-in-one printer designed for high-volume printing in home offices and small businesses. It offers printing, scanning, and copying capabilities, delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions for various document handling needs.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6070 setup on Windows

  1. Unbox and Prepare the Printer
  2. Remove all packaging materials.
  3. Install the print heads and fill the ink tanks with the supplied ink bottles.
  4. Power on the printer and complete the initial setup (language, ink priming).
  5. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
  6. Run the installer and follow on-screen prompts.
  7. Choose your connection method: USB, Wi-Fi, or LAN.
  8. For Wi-Fi: Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network via the Canon installer.
  9. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  10. Click Add a Printer or Scanner, select the Canon G6070 from the list, and click Add Device.
  11. Once setup is complete, print a test page to ensure the printer is properly connected.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Check the power:
    • Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  • Check the cartridges:
    • Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
  • Check paper:
    • If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
  • Check WiFi connection:
    • Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
    • Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable
  • Reset the printer:
    • Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  • Update printer drivers:
    • If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
