Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging materials and protective tape from the printer.
- Open the ink tank covers and fill the GI-790 bottles (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) into their respective tanks.
- Place plain A4 paper into the rear paper tray and adjust the paper guides.
- Connect the power cord and press the power button.

Canon MegaTank G2012 setup on Windows
- Plug the printer into your Windows PC using the provided USB cable.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded setup file and follow the installation instructions.
- Complete the setup wizard, allowing it to detect and configure the printer.
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on G2012, and select “Print Test Page” to verify setup.

- Use the provided USB cable to connect the printer to your Mac.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click the “+” button, select the Canon G2012, and click Add.
- Use a document or test file to verify the printer is working properly.
Canon MegaTank G2012 setup on Chromebook
- Connect the power cable and press the power button.
- Use a USB Type-A to USB Type-B cable to connect the printer to the Chromebook.
- On your Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click “Add Printer”, and your Canon G2012 should appear in the list. Select it.
- If prompted, choose default print settings or customize as needed.
- Open a document or file, click Print, and select the G2012 as your printer to test the setup.
