Canon MegaTank G1010 setup on Windows
- Download and Install the Driver:
- Download the latest drivers from the link given at the bottom of the page.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
- Accessing the Printer Driver Setup:
- After installation, you can access the printer driver setup window from the bottom of the page.
- Select the “Printing Preferences” or “Print Setup” option.
- Basic Settings:
- Quick Setup Tab:
- You can find frequently used settings here, including predefined print settings, paper size, and media type.
- Main Tab:
- Adjust print quality, color intensity, and other general settings.
- Page Setup Tab:
- Set page, paper size, and other page-specific settings, according to the Canon manual.

- Saving Settings:
- Choose “Always Print with Current Settings” to save the settings for future print job

- Connection:
- USB:
- If using a USB connection, ensure the printer is turned on and the USB cable is properly connected between the printer and your Mac.
- Wireless:
- If using a wireless connection, ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. You’ll likely need to use the printer’s setup menu or a mobile app to connect it to your network.

- Driver Installation:
- Download the latest drivers from the link given at the bottom of the page.
- Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver. You may need to restart your Mac after the installation.
- Adding the Printer to your Mac:
- Open System Settings: Go to Apple menu > System Settings.
- Printers & Scanners:
- Click on “Printers & Scanners” in the sidebar.
- Add Printer:
- Click the “+” button to add a printer. Your G1010 should appear in the list of available printers.
- Select and Configure:
- Select your G1010 from the list and follow the prompts to add it to your Mac’s list of printers.
- Print Test Page:
- Once everything is set up, you can print a test page to ensure the printer is working correctly
Canon MegaTank G1010 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Download the Canon Print app from the App Store and enroll in the PIXMA Print Plan.
- Requirements:
- Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Printing:
- You can print documents and photos from your iOS device through the app.
- Connect from iOS: You can then connect to the shared printer from your iOS device using the virtual machine.

- Download and Install the App:
- Search for “Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY” on the Google Play Store and install the app.
- Open the App:
- Open the Canon Print app on your Android device.
- Connect to the Printer:
- Make sure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to search for and add your G1010 printer.
- Test Print:
- Once the printer is added, you can test a print from the app to verify the connection.

- Connect to the same network:
- Make sure both your Chromebook and the Canon G1010 printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Chromebook settings:
- Click on the time at the bottom right of your Chromebook and select “Settings”.
- Access printer settings:
- Under “Devices,” scroll down to “Printers & scanners”.
- Add printer manually:
- Select “Printers” and then “Add printer manually”.
- Enter printer details:
- Name:
- Give your printer a name for easy identification.
- IP Address:
- Enter the printer’s IP address.

- Add the printer:
- Select “Add” to complete the setup.
