Overview

The Canon MB2120 is a versatile all-in-one printer designed for both home and office environments. It features high-quality printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities, along with wireless connectivity for easy printing from multiple devices.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Carefully remove the Canon MB2120 from its packaging, removing all protective materials and tape.
  2. Open the front cover and insert the ink cartridges into their designated slots until they click into place.
  3. Adjust the paper guides in the rear paper tray and load the appropriate size and type of paper.
  4. Connect the printer to a power source and press the power button to turn it on.

Canon MB2120 setup on Windows

Setting up Canon MAXIFY MB2120 – Windows (Wi-fi):

  1. Prepare the Printer: 

a. Press the ok button.

b. Choose wireless LAN connection.

c. Press ok and select Standard Setup.

d. Select your wifi network from the available list. 

g. Enter the password.

  1. Download the Drivers:

a. Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.

b. Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.

  1. Print the Test page:

  a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Download the Drivers:

a. Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.

b. Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.

  1. Connect the USB Cable to your printer:

a. Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.

b. Go to the settings of your PC.

c. Search for bluetooth and devices.

d. Click on Printers and Scanners.

e. From the available printers list select your Canon MAXIFY MB2120.

  1. Print the Test page:

a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Cannot Find Machine on Check Printer Settings Screen:
  2. Solutions:
  3. Check the Printer Settings screen appears after searching the printer by Automatic search on the Search for Printers screen, click Redetect and search for the printer again by the IP address on the Search for Printers screen.
  4. Cannot Find Machine while Using Wireless LAN:
  5. Solutions:
  6. Make sure the printer is turned on, If the icon is not displayed, select Activate wireless LAN on Change LAN in LAN settings under Device settings. Make sure printer and wireless router network settings match.
  7. Paper Jam:
  8. Solutions:
  9. Turn off the printer, Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer.
  10. Check for torn paper pieces and Restart the printer.
  11. Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):
  12. Solution:
  13. Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed. Run Print Head Cleaning. Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning, Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu. Ensure you’re using compatible paper
