Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Carefully remove the Canon GX5030 from its packaging and remove all protective materials.
  2. Open the front cover, insert the ink tanks into their designated slots, and press down until they click into place.
  3. Adjust the paper guides in the rear paper tray to match your desired paper size and load the paper into the tray.
  4. Plug the printer into a power outlet and press the power button to turn it on.

Canon GX5030 setup on Windows

  1. On the printer’s screen, select Easy Wireless Connect to initiate Wi-Fi setup.
  2. Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
  3. Run the installer and follow instructions
  4. Choose Wireless LAN Connection when prompted during installation.
  5. The setup wizard will detect your GX5030 on the same Wi-Fi network—select it and continue.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete driver installation and register the printer.
  7. Once installed, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers to confirm it’s listed.
  8. Right-click the GX5030 and select Set as default printer if desired.
  9. Print a test page to verify successful setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the power
  2. Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  3. Check the cartridges
  4. Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also make sure that there is enough ink and that the cartridges fit the model of your printer
  5. Check paper
  6. If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure there are no jams in the printer. You can now shut off the paper tray.
  7. Check Wi-Fi connection
  8. Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
  9. Make sure that the Wi-Fi is stable
  10. Reset the printer
  11. Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  12. Update printer drivers
  13. If the drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
