Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon GP-6600S setup on Windows
- Prepare the printer:
- Go to the LAN settings option on the printer’s operation panel.
- Select Wi-Fi, and then select Settings.
- Select Wi–Fi setup.
- Select the Easy wireless connect method.
- Select the Standard setup and manually choose your network name (SSID) from the list and enter the password.
- Your printer is connected.
- Download Drivers:
- Download and install the full driver package from the bottom of the page.
- When the installation is completed, run the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Wired/USB Connection:
- Download Drivers:
- Download the driver package from the bottom of the page.
- Once the installation is completed , run the file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
- Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
- On your PC click on the system preference option.
- Now click on Printer and Scanners.
- The available printers list will appear on the screen, select your Canon GP-6600S.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon GP-6600S setup on macOS
- Prepare the printer:
- Go to the LAN settings option on the printer’s operation panel.
- Select Wi-Fi, and then select Settings.
- Select Wi–Fi setup.
- Select the Easy wireless connect method.

+button). - Your Mac should automatically detect the Canon GP-6600S if it is properly connected to the network or via USB.
- Select the printer from the list.
- Click Add.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Wired/USB Connection:
- Download Drivers:
- Download the driver package from the bottom of the page.
- Once the installation is completed , run the file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
- Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your Mac.
- On your Mac click on the system preference option.
- Now click on Printer and Scanners.
- The available printers list will appear on the screen, select your Canon GP-6600S.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.

- Download the Canon imagePROGRAF print utility app:
- Install the app.
- Run the application.
- Make sure your iOS device and the printer are on the same network.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register your printer by using the “Add Printer” option.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon GP-6600S setup on Android
- Download the Canon imagePROGRAF print utility app:
- Install the app.
- Run the application.
- Make sure your device and the printer are on the same network.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register your printer by using the “Add Printer” option.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon GP-6600S setup on Chromebook
- Prepare the printer:
- On the printer’s operation panel, go LAN settings menu.
- Select Wi–Fi then select settings.
- Select Wi–Fi setup.
- Add the Printer to Chromebook:
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the bottom-right corner and then select the Settings gear icon.
- Scroll down and click on Advanced to expand the options.
- Under the “Print and scan” section, select Printers.
- Click on the Add Printer button.
If the printer is not automatically found, you can add it manually using its IP address.
- In the “Printers” section of the Chromebook settings, click Add Printer manually (or the Add Printer button and then select the manual option if available).
- Enter the following details:
- Name: A descriptive name (e.g., “Canon GP-6600S”).
- Address: The printer’s IP address (found on the network configuration page you printed earlier).
- Protocol: Usually IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) or LPD.
- Queue: Leave the default queue, or use
ipp/printif a specific queue is required.
- Click Add.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected. - Check the cartridges:
Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also, ensure that there is enough ink. - Check paper:
If the papers are not arranged correctly, take them out of the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure that the paper tray is not jammed. You can now shut off the paper tray. - Check Wi-Fi Connection:
Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
Make sure that the WIFI connection is stable. - Update the Driver:
Outdated drivers may cause problems.
Check for the latest driver updates for your printer model.
Download and install the updated driver.
