Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove the printer from the box, and ensure all components (printer, power cord, and ink) are included.
  2. Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
  3. Insert paper into the paper tray according to the printer’s manual.
  4. Open the ink compartment and insert the ink cartridges.

Canon GM2030 setup on Windows

  1. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
  2. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer driver.
  3. Use a USB cable to connect the printer to your PC, or choose the appropriate wireless setup if available.
  4. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on Canon GM2030, and select “Set as Default Printer.”
  5. Print a test page to ensure proper setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Check the power:
    • Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  • Check the cartridges:
    • Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
  • Check paper:
    • If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
  • Check WiFi connection:
    • Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
    • Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable
  • Reset the printer:
    • Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  • Update printer drivers:
    • If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
