Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer and remove all packaging materials.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- Open the ink tank cover and install the included ink bottles into their respective tanks.
- Place paper into the paper tray, ensuring it’s aligned correctly.

Canon G7030 setup on Windows
- Connect the printer to your PC using a USB cable or Wi-Fi. For wireless, follow the printer’s screen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Run the downloaded driver installation file and follow on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Open “Devices and Printers” in Windows settings and set the G7030 as your default printer.
- Print a test page to confirm setup.
Canon G7030 setup on macOS
- For a USB connection, plug the printer into your Mac. For wireless setup, follow the printer’s instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Open the downloaded driver file and follow the on-screen prompts to install.
- Go to “System Preferences” > “Printers & Scanners” and set the G7030 as the default printer.

- Use the printer’s display to connect it to your Wi-Fi network by following the on-screen instructions.
- On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store, search for “Canon Print app,” and install the app.
- Open the Canon Print app, select “Add Printer,” and choose the Canon G7030 from the list of available printers.
- Once connected, you can print documents, photos, or web pages directly from your Android device using the app.
Canon G7030 setup on Chromebook
- Use the printer’s display to connect it to your Wi-Fi network by following the on-screen instructions.
- On your Chromebook, go to “Settings” > “Advanced” > “Printing” > “Printers.”
- Select “Add a printer” and choose the Canon G7030 from the available list.
- The printer should automatically install any necessary drivers. If not, visit the Chrome Web Store and install the Canon Print app
- Once added, set the G7030 as your default printer from the printing settings.
- Print a test page to ensure smooth operation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check WiFi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
