Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6030 setup on Windows
- Turn on your Canon G6030 and connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the control panel (Wireless LAN Setup > your network > enter password).
- On your Windows PC, open a browser and go to the Canon Support website.
- Search for Canon G6030 and download the driver from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded file and follow the installation wizard instructions.
- Choose Wireless LAN Connection when prompted during setup.
- The software will search for the printer on your network and install the appropriate drivers.
- Once installed, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click Add a printer if it isn’t already listed; select the Canon G6030.
- Open any file, choose Print, and select your printer to test it.
Canon G6030 setup on macOS
- Turn on your Canon G6030 and connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the printer’s control panel (Wireless LAN Setup > select your network > enter password).
- Download the drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded .dmg file and run the installer.
- During installation, select Wireless Connection when prompted.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
- Once the software is installed, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button to add a printer and select Canon G6030 from the list.
- Choose the Canon driver or AirPrint under “Use” and click Add.
- Open a document, choose File > Print, and select the Canon G6030 to test it.
Canon G6030 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Turn on your Canon G6030 and connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the printer’s control panel (Wireless LAN Setup > select your network > enter password).
- Ensure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Go to the App Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Open the app and grant any necessary permissions (location, network, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer or the “+” icon. The app will search for nearby printers.
- Select Canon G6030 from the list of available printers.
- If the printer doesn’t appear, use Manual Setup and enter the printer’s IP address (found in printer’s network settings).
- Once added, the printer is ready for wireless printing.
- To print, open the document or photo you want, tap the Share icon, select Print, then choose Canon G6030.
Canon G6030 setup on Android
- Turn on your Canon G6030 and connect it to your Wi-Fi network via the printer’s control panel (Wireless LAN Setup > select network > enter password).
- Ensure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Go to the Google Play Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Open the app and grant any necessary permissions (location, network, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer or the + icon. The app will automatically search for nearby printers.
- Select Canon G6030 when it appears in the list.
- If not found, use Manual Setup and enter the printer’s IP address (available from the printer’s network settings).
- Once added, the printer is ready for wireless printing.
- To print, open the document/photo you want, tap the Share icon, and select Canon PRINT or Google Cloud Print.
Canon G6030 setup on Chromebook
- Turn on your Canon G6030 and connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the printer’s control panel (Wireless LAN Setup > select your network > enter password).
- Ensure your Chromebook is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- On your Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom-right corner and open Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer. The Canon G6030 should appear in the list of available printers.
- If it doesn’t appear, click Add manually and enter the printer’s IP address (found in the printer’s network settings).
- Select IPP as the protocol and enter /ipp/print as the path.
- Click Add to finish the setup.
- To print, open any document, press Ctrl + P, select the Canon G6030, and click Print.
